Cat's teeth and saliva is very toxic to squirrels. If the cat already damaged squirrel's skin there is nothing you can do. Squirrel will die eventually. Don't get attached. It is the nature.
know that is nature. but felt sad because squirrel died on my hand.
Had that experience several times when we used to have two cats.
