Hi, Steemians y Steem Sri Lanka Community.

This contest is promoted by Steem Sri Lanka Community and the user @damithudaya, who I have met in the Football World. To participate it is important to know the rules. I invite you to visit the post of the contest here Steem Sri Lanka: Contest Series - Week 5.

Gran Sabana - Venezuela

The Gran Sabana is a magical place. It's located in the South of Venezuela in the State of Bolivar. I made the trip to my vehicle. I have returned several times but without a doubt, the first time was very special.

Troncal 10. Gran Sabana - Venezuela .

The trip is done through “Troncal 10” (an important road in the country). I traveled with a friend and we met a group of teachers who had traveled two days before. We arrived at an uncomfortable accommodation but the landscape was so spectacular that this detail was imperceptible.

Other lodgings are more economical (for backpackers) or more ecological for those who want to live a great and unforgettable adventure.

There are many places to visit. The ideal is to have a tour guide or not to go too far from the “Troncal 10”.

One of the landscapes that I liked the most is located in the “Mirador del Oso”. There you can feel peace. The breeze is soft. The landscape seems infinite. It is a true encounter with nature. People place stones, in a certain order, and make wishes.

The Gran Sabana is a place of connection with the perfection of nature. Therefore, whoever visits it will never forget having been there. And someday they will come back!

The trip must be a minimum of three or four days to visit this enchanted place. Tourist attention is generally provided by local indigenous people.

In the Gran Sabana live Pemones and Yekuanas, among several indigenous ethnic groups. I don't have any photographs of them because they don't like having their pictures taken. They think that it's like stealing a piece of their soul (we should understand that this is their ancestral custom). Nevertheless, they are very kind and diligent people.

Let's continue with the journey. Another excursion I liked was Soroapó. The lagoons are spectacular; the waters are crystalline and the waterfalls are therapeutic. There you forget about your cell phone and domestic problems when you dive into its waters. Undoubtedly, you feel renewed.

Another day we went to Santa Elena de Uairén and the Brazilian border. There we visited a lady who has a spectacular garden with local flowering plants. I was impressed with a collection of stones that she displays in her garden. This area of Venezuela is rich in minerals.

That same day we visited the Quebrada de Jaspe o Kako Parú. It's a monument to beauty. It is possibly one of the most visited places because it's a National Park. There are several tourist services that you will want to stay there forever. The aroma is very special because of the trees it has (they make incense from them).

I spent several days in the Gran Sabana and I have many photographs of the places I visited but I'm going to say goodbye here because I don't want to bore you with an extensive publication.

I think that I have piqued your curiosity and that when you can you can visit the Gran Sabana in Venezuela. You will discover a fantastic place and you will find yourself because the Gran Sabana is simply magical!

You are the 3rd participant from Venezuela. It's really happy you are sharing one of the most beautiful places, for sure.

There you can feel peace. The breeze is soft. The landscape seems infinite. It is a true encounter with nature.

What else we need in our busy routine. This feeling can take us to a different world.

Soroapó, can people bath there? Is it safe?

Good luck with the competition!

Hello @damithudaya.
I've already seen the entries of Venezuelans. There are 2 publications from the Gran Sabana!

In general, Venezuela is an unsafe country, but the Gran Sabana has ALWAYS been very safe. It's like being in paradise!

The local ethnic groups are reliable. All the resorts are clean, safe and have crystal clear waters.

I extend the invitation to visit this monument to beauty!

In general, Venezuela is an unsafe country

Why are you saying that?

Thanks for thw invitation. Venezuela is in whole other corner from sri lanka, Will see one day

Venezuela is an unsafe country and that is the truth!

I love my country but I don't like lying to tourists.

For there to be good tourism you have to start by telling the truth. If it is not a "misleading offer".

The Gran Sabana and the Island of Los Roques have great tourist visits because they are safe places. By the way Los Roques is very expensive.

I traveled by car to the Gran Sabana. But there are also private air flights (very very expensive).

Before, gasoline fuel was very economical in Venezuela. Now they don't even produce gasoline. By this, I mean that I do not know how much a trip to the Gran Sabana (now) costs.

The truth is that the Gran Sabana (expensive or economic) is a trip that one never forgets!

Yeah I get the picture you described here. Thanks for your honesty here. There are problems in every country. I think they will be finished with the time.
I searched about Gran Sabana in internet. As you have said it's really a wonderful place

Hey Marcy! Nice to see you visiting our community! Welcome!

Thanks for letting us know about your journey. I never had heard about these places. Well, actually, I think the only place I heard about was Angel Falls. Have you been there?

Hi @praveenw96.
I love that you have read this publication.

Angel Falls is also located in the Gran Sabana but I couldn't get there because the trip is too expensive.

I have seen Angel Falls from far away, and woow

Thank you For Your Entry.
