Visit To British Council | 5% For SL Charity

In this weekend I got the chance to visit the British council - Srilanka which is situated in Colombo 03.

The British Council of srilanka provides many services via online as well as through the centers islandwide. I visited their main branch yesterday with my Cousin brother and his two little sons. They are used to refer the British council library every weekend and I also joined them this week.

There are English classes and courses conducted by the B.C . Also it holds the IELTS and Cambridge Qualification exams. It has a really good library open to members and public both. The library has a huge collection of books and magazines. It's a nice place to read and relax.

I really love the kid's section. It has soo many nice books.

I selected these 3 books. Some extra reading books on teaching and a novel. I kept novel aside this time because I needed to study the other books well.
Also there was a really good novel collection.

There's a whole section for IELTS appliers. There are study packs to refer and borrow. You can study alone without taking any exam.

3 months IELTS Library membership is 3000 LKR.

Library Membership Fees

For the book issuing system there's a really efficient and modern system. First you have to scan the membership card and then scan each book like this. No need of filling or signing. It's the best system I saw so far.
