SL Charity | Project Balangoda | Successfully Finshed with lifetime memories | Part 02 | 10% For SL Charity

Hello Everyone!

As I promised it's I'm bringing the second part of project Balangoda. It's all about the program we did there. To host the program my brother @chathux and his friend helped me.

Beginning

There are 19 students in the school and 5 classes. Whole school is a big hall and classrooms are temporarily seperated. That day all the 19 students were present as we expected.

Principal asked all the students to bring their chairs outside. All the students lined up with keeping distance and wearing masks.

First I addressed the students and spoke with them a little about the covid situation and about the day they spent so far. I asked students to tell their name one by one.

After asking names of the students we wanted to see the talents of the students to warm up them. Normally students are shy to get the start. I already bought some chocolates for students . I know that it will motivate them ☺️.

Before coming to the school I called a teacher of the school and gathered information about the students. When I asked students to come and show some talents I saw that some students suddenly turned into others and wispered with each other ☺️.
First a little girl went to her teacher and came infront of the gathering and sang a nice song. I asked everybody to calp. After finishing the song I asked about her class name ,ambition and gave her a chocalate.

I saw that other students motivated from that... Next 3 little girls came and performed a nice dance.
I gave them chocalates as well. As time is limited I bought only 5 chocolates . After them many volunteers wanted to perform but We had to give chance for only 5 students.

Drawing time

As the next step our plan was to let students draw their future ambition. It will help us to get an idea about students ..

We distributed 1 A4 sheet per students and gave 15 minutes to draw. While they are drawing we went fir each student and observed what they draw.

We asked them to write their names and ambition on the paper but grade 1 and 2 students are still not good in writing so teachers helped them.

We asked students to finish drawings and ask them to show us what they drew.

As we already packed gifts for kids. We randomly selected gifts and asked students to come front with their drawings.

We talked to each student's and give them the gift packs. One pack included a waterbattle, lunchbox , pastal box and a drawing book . Not all the students had pastal boxes so It's good that we were able to provide them.

Student were very happy with gifts and I saw them checking it soo happily.

Among 19 students of the school There were
9 doctors
7teachers
1 artist
1 singer

And 1 student who wanted the be a three-wheel driver.
That was the most different idea we found from grade 1 student. It really touched our heart. We specially talked to that student to uplift his ideas.

After finishing it we distributed the drinks and cakes we brought for the students. They enjoyed it happily.
We gave foods for everyone gathered including parents of the students and teachers.

Sport equipments distribution and end of the program

We asked students who loves cricket! More than half of the students stood up and said they loved it and it was soo lovely to see the interest of them for playing 🥰. We handovered the equipments for students and principal. Also we gave a little gift for every teacher.

We saw the happiness in their eyes and it made us soo happy too.

Finally Mr principal addressed everyone, thanked us in a speech of 5-10 mins. Teachers and principals were so happy with the event and they thanked us.

They have prepared tea, sweetmeats and biscuits for us after the event.

We enjoyed it too. After finishing the event we took some group photograhs as a memory.

Mr principal gave us a thanking letter. It was so much heart touching. He's the English teacher of the students and he is so dedicated for the school. I really appreciate the way he maintains the school.

Everybody praised us about the program and thanked us a lot. Even we are so happy and satisfied That we were able to finish the program succesfully.
We wish to do many future projects like this in near future and this will be our inspiration.
