Tourism is booming in Sri Lanka again. The southern coastal line is one of the best tourist destinations, specially Mirissa, Dikwella, Weligama, Galle, Unawatuna, and Hikkaduwa. Mirissa and Weligama are 10-15 minutes away from my home. I go to those places frequently because I have some friends there.

Yesterday I went to Weligama for a special reason. Some of my friends had started a new restaurant in Weligama. It has a very beautiful name, The Bachelor's. There are lots of restaurants in those areas but still have more opportunities. To attract foreign and local tourists, they needed to add novelty to their business.

My friends had done an excellent job there. They had made the main area with wood and other natural materials. And they arrange tables outdoor and decorate with bulbs and lanterns at the night. So it is very attractive at night.

Just as other restaurants in this area dishes are a bit expensive here. It is reasonable because their main customers are foreigners. Out of them, the most popular dishes are seafood, pasta, and kottu. And there is a good demand for Sri Lankan dishes like Rotti, and traditional rice and curry. Make sure to request extra chilies while ordering in these kinds of restaurants. We tried 3,4 dishes, and I can rate them 10 out of 10. The best thing is they were all cooked by my friends

Most of the foreigners ask for alcohol with their orders. In Sri Lanka, these restaurants can not sell alcohol without a permit. And also it is a very rare chance to get a permit. So that is a big issue these small businesses are facing.
