Hope you all are fine and safe. Today I’m going to continue my healthy food habits chapter. If you read my previous article, you may find some tips that I have given you to follow to maintain good healthy food habits.

So, today I hope to give you some more tips.

» Having less amount or try to avoid from sugar.

Sugar is important to our body because it provides us energy but having more of them in frequently will cause weight gain. I know these days this is a timely problem with this pandemic situation. We most of the time stay in home and eat more. Then this is really important. Getting too much sugar- aids foods may cause tooth decay and also increase the risk of obesity. Therefore, it is important to get to know about free sugar foods. Examples like cakes, biscuits, pudding, and most of the people’s favorite food of chocolate. It is better to avoid these foods as much as you can. You can get sugar naturally from honey, unsweetened fruits juice, and also smoothies. You may now think about how we know about a meal having too much sugar or not. If a meal having more than 22.5g of sugar from a 100g of meal then that food is high sugar food and it is 5g of sugar then it is low sugar food.


» Include an appropriate amount of salt for your meals.

You must concern about the salt that has in your food. It should not exceed the required amount and also not too much less from that. If your food is having 1.5g of salt in 100g of a meal then it is high salt food. Considering the age ranges, adults and also children whose age is 11 and over should be concerned about not having more than 6g of salt for a day. Having more salt may cause high blood pressure, heart diseases, stroke, etc. I will give you some tips to avoid having more salt foods. If you try to eat pizza then order vegetables or chicken one instead of having pepperoni or bacon pizza. If you try to eat pasta then eat it with tomato sauce with vegetables or chicken instead of having bacon or sausages. If you try to eat sandwiches then have chicken, egg, or vegetable- like one instead of having ham or cheddar cheese.


» Maintaining a healthy weight.

Maintaining a healthy weight is really important. Because overweight may cause high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, and many more. So how you measure your weight is in the good level or higher. Then BMI measurement coming to solve this matter. I hope you all know how to calculate the BMI then I will tell you the level to measure it. If BMI is 18.5 -24.9 then you have a healthy weight. If BMI is 25-29.9 then you have an overweight problem. If BMI is 30-39.9 then you are considered as obese and your BMI is 40 or above which means you are considered severely obese. Then try to follow a good BMI level and it will help to reduce your weight.


» Do not avoid having your breakfast.

This is really important fact and I think we all do this mistake. When we are in a rush then most of the time, we try to save our time by avoiding having our breakfast. This is a big issue. Because if we are not having our breakfast then our stomach is empty from long duration until we get some food. Think like this. If you have taken your dinner at last night and you forgot your breakfast in next morning and take the lunch. Suppose that you have taken your dinner at 8.00 p.m. and next day lunch at 1.00 p.m. and time duration is 17 hours. It is too bad of taking this much of gap between meals because it really causes to having gastritis in near future and many more diseases. Not only that try to have your breakfast consists of good nutrients.

yes of course.. somedays I also never go out.. become fatter day by day...

I was not in the healthy range in BMI because I was very thin. But I fixed my weight and now I'm in the healthy range in BMI measurement. If you never mind, I have a request... please bring chapter 3 about exercises 🙊
