A Movie Review – Kabir Singh

Thie movie is a Hindi language movie, and this was released in 2019. This romantic movie is directed by Sandeep Reddy and produced by Murad Khetani, Ashwin Varde, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. Main acter (Kabir) is Shahid Kapoor and main actress (Preeti) is Kiara Advani. Let’s check the story behind this film.

Kabir is a medical student at Delhi Institute of Medical Science. He is from a wealthy business family. He is a very talent student, but he has some behavioral problems. He is a very arrogant person. He suddenly saw Preeti in this school, and she is a new student for this college. Though he received a punishment to leave or get an apology from a student, he decided to stay there due to Preethi.

Kabir wanted to look after Preethi. Hence, he told other students in the senior batch not to harm her. He falls in love with her. He teaches her lessons, and he is very caring for her. Gradually she also falls in love with her. After the graduation Kabir went to Mussoorie for his post-graduation. The distance could weaken their relationship.

After she graduated, he introduces Kabir to her parents. But after seeing them kissing, her father went against Kabir. He thought that he is not a good person. Kabir tried to explain the thing between them, but her father does not want to listen to it. As I told you before he gets angry and said to Preethi to select him or her family and gave 6 hours to decide it. She is unable to reach him with in given time, hence Kabir injects himself with morphine and remains unconscious for the next two days.

After he wakes up, he gets to know that Preethi is being forced into an arranged marriage. After this incident he left everything and with the help of her friend Shiva he rented flat and joins a private hospital as surgeon. He addicted to drugs and alcohol and names his new pet dog Preeti. He become a talented surgeon but after a one incident he had to leave from the surgeons. Because a person has dead during his surgery. Since he was taken during the surgeries the final judgement receive as not practice her surgeries for five years.

After hearing from his grandmother’s death came to home again. During this time Kabir saw Preethi and sitting in a park. He goes to see her. He tells her to come with him and he will look after both of them. After waiting a few minutes, she speaks to him. She told him to leave. Then Shiva describes Kabir’s obsession which she was unaware of. She confesses that she left her husband after three days of her marriage. After hearing about an affair rumor about Kabir she refused her idea of contacting him after. Finally, she said that the father of her child is Kabir. Finaly they are together with their family. Preethi’s father came and blessed to both of them.
