Rain has followed me all the way here! | 5% for SL Charity.

My pair of shoes in…. Leggings in… Baggy shirts in…. Arm bands in….. Yup everything was safe inside my travelling back. It is quite a common thing for me to move from my home to boarding place but I had a special idea in my head when I set off to the boarding. I feel so stuffed by working out inside my home, so I wanted to at least jog in a jogging path. I knew some three jogging paths closer to my boarding and perfect for my workout routine. But no chance… The rain was really heavy in Kelaniya and the water level of Kelani river scared me as it is about to flood. So, no outdoor workout for me.

I also wanted to go to Nugegoda to buy some novels that I couldn’t find from Kiribathgoda. But I couldn’t do that also because of the heavy rains we fall there. No need to explain it in lengthy lines… when I say that I didn’t even visit Keels once throughout the time I stayed there, you could clearly understand the seriousness of the rain right?

So I wanted to sing aloud,

“Rain rain go away
Come again another day
Little Inshi want to play
Rain rain go away”

I am no singer. So I didn’t want to take any risk by offending the rain by singing. So I wrote!

Hello table! Hello chair!
Hey my mirror, hi there!
How you all doing there?
My day is dull with shower!

Adieus drizzle! Cherio downfall!
Time has come to disjoin you all.
Um moving to kelaniya from home
Bye for now, I'm parting with you

Alas! Alas! I wanted to have fun
When reuniting with my boarding hon.
Aiyooo, guess whom I found here?
Rain has followed me all the way here!

Pools of downpours, piles of muds
Raindrops pregnant leaves n flowers
Readily wearing their sinister smiles
Murmured them breaking my hopes

Poor kelani river; too much to bear
Worn from her long term endeavor.
Relieved her trouble by relying on another
And now, roads are filled with water!

Came to kelaniya to roam and jog.
But rain is like my guardian dog!
Jailing me inside my room,
Me; A prisoner of my own room!

No one to talk, nothing to do!
So here are my lovely mirror,
Dear table, darling chair,
I thought of talking to you!
