My big sis and me stayed in our current boarding place for over a year now, but we thought of it’s better to move out from the boarding than continue to stay here. At first, we liked our boarding because the people from our neighbor room were also very calm and quiet. But we didn’t really enjoy our last few months here because of certain reasons.

Our neighborhood became pretty chaotic in last months (I don’t if it had always been like that, but we noticed that recently), police and army started to frequent here because of many complaints. And sometimes my big sis and me get more followers on the road than we have in our social media accounts. We both got scared after those reasons, so we thought of we really need to move out. The second reason is our boarding owner. She seemed to be pretty caring and decent but she has got a special interest in us two than our own parents, I suppose. Whenever we open our door, it is followed by opening another door. They always peep from their door to see where are we going, what are we wearing and when are we coming back so on and so far. And whenever she saw that we are coming from uber or carrying big purchases, she didn’t forget to raise our boarding fee also. There was many more things in her behaviour that disappointed us, so we didn’t want to pay a huge sum when we don’t have safety or freedom here.

We informed a month earlier that we are moving out, but we still couldn’t find a good boarding yet. We tried searching in Kelaniya and Borella, but couldn’t find anything in a good condition. We didn’t want to stay here even if we couldn’t find a boarding place, so I thought of staying in my uncle’s place in Rajagiriya which is my mum’s childhood home. Shifting our luggages is the hardest thing. My big sis and me were considering this as our home, so we have lots of stuff here. I carried bags from time to time o uncle’s place to reduce the thing we have to shift at the last day. But there is still a lot, literally a lot, for us to shift.

It is better to do this now even the process is hard, rather than staying in a place where we can’t be at peace.
