A Temporary Visitor| 5% for SL Charity.

We grew attached with a little gentleman with whom we had a brief encounter yesterday. He was at our place only for like 45mins, but we all miss him. So I thought of writing a post about him.

Mimi’s loud barking took all our attention yesterday night and it turned out a strange dos has entered our yard. It was a black dog and he was drooling with saliva. We got scared first thinking that he has infected with illnesses, so we asked Mimi to back off. But this dog seemed not to mean any harm and he looked scared as well. When we closely examined him, we realized that he was just thirsty. He gulped them down when we gave him water.

He seemed all settle down at our place after we gave him water and talked with him. He looked Mimi and Jimmy nervously from time to time, but when we talked with him he became more than relaxed and lied down on the floor. He had a belt on him. He looked somewhat like a Labrador around 2-3 years but he has slimmed down. It looked like as if he didn’t eat for two to three days.

By this time, Mimi and Jimmy started to feel very jealous because out attention was on this visitor, so we had to pet them to calm him down. And our lil gentleman wanted to be petted also. So we pet lightly on his forehead and he was a good example for give him an inch he would take the whole place… He wanted to come inside the house, but we didn’t let him because home is the territory of our queen. There would be world war 3 if we let another doggy come to Mimi’s terrain. So we remained in the verandah with him.

As we were talking with him, we wanted to guess his name. the first name we tried was Rocky, and he responded! He is Rocky!! We gave him some food and out of the hurry we offered Jimmy’s plate and water bowl. Jimmy didn’t seem at all happy at this arrangement, but I think he understood the situation. Akka and me assumed that his owners had left them, as he ddidn’t look like he was searching for his home. And it looked like he liked our place. So we two were making plans to taking him to a vet the following day and letting him stay at our place.

At the same time, we heard someone is calling out Rocky outside. It turned out his real name is Rocky as we guessed! His owners were searching for him and we responded to them. He has been lost from home for two days. Finally both Rocky and his owners reunited. We were sad that he left us because we all grew attached to him but we are more than happy that he could go bac to his “home”.
