Steem Sri Lanka Year-End Contest | Looking Back at 2021

Hello Steemers!

Wow…Nice opportunity to look back at my year 2021. This competition is gonna be really interesting. Everyone’s life is very different from each other. We can have a look and get something from it. I see there is a huge potential in this contest other than winning steems. Are you ready to see my year 2021 recap? Let’s get started.

I thought about writing about each month. Yeah that means i am going to write about all the 12 months of this year. Even Though December is not over yet, December was the most interesting month for me. Let's see.

Dear January | The second bridegroom for the first and last time

It was Rasi’s one and only sister’s wedding. A kind invitation for me also to be a second bridegroom. I know one day I have to be a Bridegroom. So, this was a nice opportunity for me to get the experience. Dressings for weddings depending on the flavors of the couple. At this time, it was the traditional Nilame Dress. Ohh dear, I never thought it was that much of a difficult dress to wear. Anyway, I succeeded in that experience. It was the first time I met her mother and father. So it was a really special day to me. As you can see, January was a great start.

Hello february | Hello Steemit

I hope you got me. This was the month a lot of my friends here started to know me. That’s right. I joined steemit on february 26th. Interesting right? Almost 10 months have passed and I have come a long way and a long way to go. Our community, Steem Sri Lanka is the real reason most of us are here because of the continuous support to us. Hard to believe? Just look at my steem power after 10 months. It’s all because of the power of my community. I’m really happy that I am working as a moderator here. It is my greatest achievement until now except for the good friends I found on this platform.

Hola March | Happy Birthday to me

I never celebrated my birthday before coming to the university. But it was a special person that I met after coming there that inspired me. So, we celebrated it every year. But with the onset of the crown virus pandemic, we lost the opportunity to experience the sweetness of the university, so I did not have the opportunity to celebrate my birthday this year within the University. But for the first time I celebrated my birthday with my family members. She sent me a birthday cake even though she lives far away from my home. And with lovely wishes😍. That is the thing very interesting about march.

Bonjour April | Back to Uni

After so much waiting my university decided to ask us to come to the university for our final exams after a long time in the middle of this covid pandemic. But it did not go as expected. We had to come back home because of an outbreak inside our hostels. It was a sad moment for me because it’s the last time of my university life.

Hello May | Grand Father got sick

May was not a happy month for me. You already know the reason. My grandfather was paralized. It was a really sad month for all of us in my family.

Dear June | Tata Bye Exams

This was the month I got rid of exams. Yeah. All of my university exams were finished in june. Even though the last semesters went through online, it was a really happy moment of my life. Most of the university stress was done after the exams.

Joyful July | Won SPUDSTEEM

What an achievement. I won the 4th place of spudsteem. This event helped me a lot to increase my sp. So, this month was very special for me. Starting a month with winning should not be bad right?

Luxury August | Bought a lots of things

I was hoping to buy various kinds of things. I collected money for a long time for that purpose. August was the month that helped me to achieve my targets. You can see the things I bought here. My spring mattress and new office chair are my favorite.

Colourful September | Bought even more

If you have been following me, you will remember I wrote a series of posts about the things I bought. Here you can see, I bought my new mouse, keyboard and a sss for my laptop. I really enjoy them even now. Those work really well for me. Just look at the colours.

Amazing October | It’s all about Apple

You all know the relationship between me and Apple right? I continued my buying habit this month also. I bought a new macbook air, homepod mini and Airpods pro which cost me around 350,000 lkr. I am really enjoying them and I never got sad about my purchase. Buying a macbook was my childhood dream. I achieved it this month. So, this is the most valuable month so far.

Lovely November | We met again after a long time

Because of the situation of our country, we couldn’t able to meet. We means her. But in november, all our dreams came true again. We went to galle. It was a really nice day for us. Shared lots of gifts. Spend time together. Made our relationship strong. November was a great start for us to keep our story running.

Finally, December | Say hello to my new job

Even though only 9 days passed in this month, lots of things happened to me. The most important thing was that I got a job. Actually my first job. I hope all of you know about it because of my previous posts. I am really happy about it. I got it on the 1st of December.

This post should be my longest post on steemit. But I really enjoyed writing it. I remembered lots of things that happened this year. It really means something to me. I think @randulakoralage was expecting this as an objective of this contest. Whether I win this or not, I'm already happy. Thank you again for organizing this amazing contest with the largest prize pool I have ever seen on steemit. I am glad I participated. I would like to invite @rasinkani , @srilife , @janindu to participate in this contest.
