Happy Valentine’s day
Today is February 14th. You all know that means today is Valentine’s day. It is also called Saint Valentine's Day. People use it to express their love and affection for each other. Since many people celebrate this day but don’t know the origin and the story of it, I thought of sharing it with you all.
The origins of Valentine's Day are unclear. It is believed to have its roots in both Christian and ancient Roman traditions. One rumour says that it is named after Saint Valentine, a Christian martyr who was executed on February 14th in the 3rd century. Another rumour says that it originated as a festival celebrating fertility and the coming of spring.
Regardless of its origins, Valentine's Day has transformed over time to become a popular holiday celebrated around the world. Today, it is often connected with romantic love and is celebrated by couples.
Valentine's Day celebration typically involves the exchange of gifts, cards, and flowers between partners. Some popular gifts include chocolates and jewellery. In addition to gift-giving, many couples also celebrate by going out for a romantic dinner or planning a special date.

Social media has also become a popular way for people to express their love and affection on Valentine's Day. Many people use platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to share photos and messages of love with their partners, family, and friends.
Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love and affection, and the modern celebration has become an important cultural event. I think we don't need to share gifts to show our love every day. But if we can look after our loved ones with love and affection, we don't actually need this special day because every day becomes a valentine's day.

Not only about Valentine's Day. I don't think it is necessary to fix dates to celebrate in the calendar for various reasons like mother's day, father's day, children's day, Environmental day. The last thing you told is very true.
