1st Stop: Saman Devalaya

We were exhausted after the submission of the first interim report of our final-year design project. Everyone got news about a batch trip which freshened up their minds. Therefore almost everyone from the batch joined the batch trip this time. Some places were suggested at the start like Nuwara Eliya, Mathale and Bandarawela. Finally, the trip was to Beragala, a city near Haputhale.

On 8th March, everyone got together at 4 am to start the journey. The first stop was Saman Devalaya at Ratnapura. We bought some flowers before going in. I got some white big flowers. We worshipped the temple. There were beautiful paintings and statues there. The place was so calm and tidy which soothed my heart. That place gave a wonderful start and blessings to our journey. There were many other people there who were going on trips just like us. We could see some elephants also there.

After having some quality time and a lot of pictures there, we had breakfast there. Bread, dhal curry, coconut sambal and onion sambal vere for breakfast. The curries and sambal were bought by friends who came from homes in the morning.

After that, we returned to the bus. Me and my roomie saw a beautiful thing on the way to the bus. We bought that for our other roomie who couldn't come to the trip. we bought 2 for ourselves also. She had her birthday three days ago. We gifted her that on that day. She was so happy for the gift.
