How to insert a GIF file to your post? | A Simple Guide

I think most you know about the GIF's. Simply they are animated images without any sound, that will loop continuously and doesn’t require anyone to press play. So, they will be helpful to communicating jokes, emotions, and ideas in steemit or any social media/blog.

Have you ever wonder how a GIF is added to steemit?

Well, if yes, don't worry! Here are the steps to do that.

Step 01: Go to the site Giphy.com

Well, it's is an online database and search engine that can be used to find/create GIF files. The user interface will be like this.

Step 02: If you want to create your own GIF file, you have to upload it to the site.

You can see the marked icon in the picture. This can be a MP4/ own GIF/ image. But there are some practices given in the site.

Step 03: Then you will be directed to this interface. You can select one of these.

Step 04: When you select the file to be uploaded, you will come to this page.

Then click the icon 'Upload to Giphy'. It will take a while according to your internet connection!

Step 05: After uploading the file, your GIF will be created.

Then click the icon 'copy link'.

Step 06: So, you will have 3 types of links to your GIF.

So, copy the Gif Link and paste it in your post.
