Cook with fun challenge | Anniversary Cake

My mother-in Law is very good at making different kind of foods. Before getting married, I did't know how to make cakes as we didn't have an oven in our house. My mother-in-Law taught me not only to make cakes but also fish buns, pizza and many other foods.

It was my 1st Engagement anniversary on 1st of october. Vishwa needed a cake with different taste other than a chocolate, Butter or ribbon cake. Therefor we searched for a cake in youtube. we found "Pinapple upside down cake". We both liked it at the first sight and decided to make it together.

We went a bike ride to buy a pinapple. Other things which are needed to make the cake were there at home. We found a round cake pan as in the youtube videos.

Since there are Seven members in the house and all are cake lovers we decided to make it big though we haven't done it before and we weren't sure about the result.

Ingredients we used for the cake were the things we use for a normal butter cake. The only difference is we used pinapple juice instead of milk.

Our full attention was to make the topping of the cake as we saw in videos. First a half cup of melted butter and brown sugar were beated and pour into the cake pan. Then we had to arrange pinapple rings and cherries on the pan. We used plums since we couldn't find cherries to make the cake beautiful. The pinapple rings we prepared were too big and were not fit into the pan. Then we cut them into pieces and put in an order. Finally the cake batter was poured into the pan. Then we put it into the oven and waited impatiently to see our cake.

A nice smell came out. We checked with a toothpick to see whether it baked or not. We found that it is uncooked in the middle. It was again set to bake. Finally our cake was baked. When we turned it upside down it wasn't beautiful as it should be.😊 It was soft and buttery. It was put into the refrigerator before eating because it was juicy.

The cake was good. But pissu kanna didn't liked to eat pinapple pieces on the cake. Though it was not good looking as we thought I love it because it filled with love, joy and curiosity. It made our anniversary unforgettable because we made it our own.
