We're living in a tech world currently and owning a smart phone or at least a mobile phone has become a necessity and not a want. Without a smartphone, you feel very detached from the world as it is a requirement to communicate with loved ones and be abreast with the happenings of the world.
So one might what a smartphone is.
A smartphone can be described as a mobile phone or a compressed digital computer to perform some of the functions of a computer. A smartphone has been made in a such a way that it requires internet access to access the web and mobile network usually with a sim card to make calls. However there are works ongoing to make calls with smartphones without necessarily having a sim card.
A smart phone has a touch screen interface and an operating system like Windows, IOS, Android or Harmony to run apps.
There are a lot of smartphones running on the operating systems I have just mentioned and so other Operating systems. My Dream smartphone runs on the android operating system.
My Dream smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. The Samsung galaxy Z fold 3 is the successor to the galaxy Z fold 2 which is a successor the Z fold 1.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is a foldable smartphone that was launched on the 11th of August 2021 with 3 different models; the SM-F926B, SM-F926U and the SM-F926U1 that comes in 4 colours; cream, green, lavender and black.
Features of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is first of all a foldable smartphone.
It has a 120hz display refresh rate. From phone reviews I mostly hear that just by mentioning refresh rates, you won't be able to appreciate how smooth and fast your phone's display looks and feels until you start using it. So having the 120 hz refresh rate which has been a Samsung feature for years is a plus for me.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 runs on the Android 11 operating system and has a 3.1.1 One UI version.
Has an infinity display as it's main display and an Infinity O Display supported by the Dynamic AMOLED technology.
The phone has a 12 GB RAM.
The Z Fold 3 has a storage of 256 ROM and 512GB but unfortunately doesn't support external memory cars.
It has a 12MP wide angle camera, a 12MP ultra wide camera and a 10MP selfie camera.
It has a very good battery capacity of 4400mAh that can last a day.
It supports fast wireless charging.
The Z Fold 3 can shoot videos in 4K mode.
The Z Fold 3 supports 5 G network.
The foldable front screen is built with gorilla glass and the unfolded part is plastic. The phone's back is glass built with gorilla glass and has an aluminium frame protecting the screen from falls.
An impressive feature Samsung has managed to introduce is the S pen feature previously exclusive to the note line up.
It has an *IPX8 water resistant rating, which means it can last up up 30 minutes in water which is very good for swimmers.
The Z Flip 3 has a Qualcomm SM8350 and Snapdragon 888 chipset depending on your location.
Has a faster fingerprint sensor.
What You Can Do With The Phone.
The foldability function of the phone allows you the use the phone as a smartphone and a tablet. You can Fold the phone when you want to use one hand and unfild when you want a larger screen for movies and others.
Samsung already does great things with the multi tasking features but this phone does it better. The fact that the screen is larger allows you to multi task. An example is when multitasking with Gmail. The list of senders is on one side of the screen and the contents of the message is on another side. This allows you to read through your email easily and easily navigate your list of senders.
Aloso the Z fold 3 alloes you to Drag and split. With this, you can drag a link you see in a browser and open a new browser tab. This functions by dropping the link anywhere on the screen to split it.
Multi active window and natural window splitting allows you to multitasking with 3 apps instead of 2. Pressing on top of any of the opened apps allows you to swap the position of the selected app.
Because of the screen size and speed, the gaming experience is very good as well.
You can draw better and write better with the S pen.
Why I Like This Phone?
First of all I like this phone because the design is very nice and pleasing to me. I've always admired tablets but discouraged because of their sizes. However the Galaxy Z Fold 3 gives me the chance to have the tablet and smartphone experience all at once.
I also like this phone because I like multitasking on my current phone but with this, multitasking is better and I can multitask with up to 3 apps.
Also, this is my dream phone because the display is great and it gets me 120hz display refresh rate. I've also always wanted to use the S pen previously exclusive to the note line up and since the Fold 3 supports the S pen, it even makes me want to use it more.
There are a lot of smartphones in the world and maybe the galaxy z fold 3 is not the best in the world and certainly not everyone's favourite. But this is the phone I would love to use sometime soon despite it's very high price.
