Contest - Elaborate on a place with a unique name in your area

This is my participation in a contest Elaborate on a place with a unique name in your area organized in Steem For Tradition by @sft-devt.acc.

We all have certain areas in our villages or town whose names are having great history behind it. Some are given the name after an incident and it became their permanent name. These names are sometimes very strange and funny. I am here to tell you the name of a place in my village; it has both a great history behind it and funny too. So let's get start without wasting any time.

I belong to district Khyber: a hilly area in the west of KPK province. I want to tell you about a place situated in district Khyber, whose name has a good history behind it. Yes I am talking about "Takhta Back". Let me tell you it's meaning first.

Takhta Back is the combination of two words from two different languages. "Takhta" is from pashto language which means "Run" and "Back" is ofcourse an English word which means behind. So in simple, Takhta Back means run behind/back.

This name sounds very funny and as I told you it has a pretty good history behind it.

Yes their is a history behind it. History which relates to united Indian when Britishers were ruling here. Let's explore it in details.

The exact time is unknown, but it was the time when British ruled here. British Army has colonized every part of the subcontinent. It was unacceptable for the people to be colonized and especially pashtons. They would have many clashes and war with them.

Once there was a war between Afridi tribe of pashtons and British Army. The British Army faced a severe reaction from Afridi tribe. They were nailed and pushed to the corner. The British Army didn't understand how to tickle them and how to save their lives.

The colonel of British Army got frightened seeing the severe response of Afridis. He made his mind to lift the battlefield. The colonel was so much in pressure that he forgot his own language. He ordered his trops with hesitant voice in mixed language "Takhta Back", mean leave the battlefield and run back.

This place is given the name of Takhta Back since then. Century has passed and it has the same old name. This name is a kind of consolation and a sign of their bravery for them. They still remember the colonial and their fox Army who run away.
