Thailand is a very good tourist destination.
What I found most interesting is that the monks are not allowed to speak loudly nor to laugh. Well, not in front of the public.
It is your duty to give your seat to a monk when you make use of the public transport.
Monks are very friendly towards tourist especially at the temples and will easily handout their blessings.
My own country is a Buddhist country as well. Monks are really decent, just like in Thailand.
Oh wow! I have learned something knew. I truly didn't know that Sri Lanka is a Buddhist country.

The Buddhist community in South Africa is very small however we do have retreats.
