Buenas noches futbol-maniacos de la comunidad #worldoffootbal. Un gran saludos a todos los miembros de la comunidad y al resto de la familia #steemit.
Acá les ofrezco mi participación en el concurso de BIOGRAFIA DEL FUTBOL organizado en la comunidad. Les escribiré sobre alguien a quien considero un baluarte a nivel del futbol mundial.
Carles Puyol, considerado una leyenda viva en el futbol, es un exfutbolista nacido en el pueblo de Puebla de Segur, Lérida en Cataluña, España. Conocido por los seguidores Culé como el Capi o en Latinoamérica como Tarzan Puyol, apodo designado por el comentarista deportivo de origen chileno Luis Omar Tapia.
Toda su carrera se desarrolló dentro del FC. BARCELONA debutando como jugador en la categoría Inferior de la entidad en la temporada 1995-1996. Formado en La Masía, su posición para aquella época era de extremo derecho. A pasar el tiempo fue alternando dicha posición hasta convertirse en un defensa central. Quizás uno de los mejores de Europa durante su carrera como profesional.
El salto al primer equipo de la entidad azulgrana sucede en la temporada 1999-2000 de la mano del entonces técnico el neerlandés Louis Van Gaal. En esa temporada disputo 37 de los 38 juegos pautados en La Liga Española de futbol consiguiendo el premio de Jugador Revelación de la Liga otorgado por la organización de la competición.
Con la salida del equipo de jugadores como Luis Enrique y Philip Cocu, Tarzan Puyol se convierte en el Capital del equipo gracias a la elección realizada por el resto de los miembros de la plantilla y con la aprobación del entonces técnico Frank Rijkaard.
Su polivalencia y manera de marcar a los delanteros más renombrados de los equipos contrarios lo convirtió en una referencia como defensa dentro de los clubes europeos de la época. En el año 2005 logra su primer título copero con el club azulgrana ganado la Liga de esa temporada y al año siguiente logra su primer título europeo al conquistar la Liga de Campeones de la UEFA con el conjunto catalán.
En la temporada 2007-2008, El Capi regresa a la cancha luego de una lesión de rodilla que lo había apartado del juego durante tres meses. Este hecho solo hizo que se perdiera un mes de competición. En esa temporada logra conseguir un record histórico en la Liga Española de Futbol al convertiste en el jugador en conseguir más balones recuperados en un juego. 22 en total superando al defensa Sergio Ramos en dicho record y que en la actualidad todavía ostenta.

Para la temporada 2008-2009 logra conseguir el primer triplete histórico de la era Guardiola hecho que lo llevo a conseguir un puesto en el museo del club. Pocos meses después logra conseguir el famoso sextete que tanto valor histórico ha dado al club catalán en las competiciones a nivel de clubes tanto de Europa como en el resto del mundo.
Para el año del 2011 logra conseguir, por tercera vez consecutiva, el título de la Liga de España. Además logra en ese mismo año su segundo título de la Liga de Campeones al ganar en la final al equipo del Manchester United. En este juego dio una de las mayores demostraciones de resistencia y tenacidad como defensa central. Recuerdo en una de las tantas jugadas que se dieron en el partido cuando el FC. Barcelona queda mal parado después de una ataque al área rival y con un contraataque realizado por el Manchester United, se ve el avance del equipo inglés hacia el área del equipo catalán y en la parte inferior de la pantalla del televisor se ve una marca azulgrana regresando al área a toda velocidad y posesionándose en su posición de defensa y logra detener una ataque del jugador cristiano Ronaldo, quitándole el balos de manera magistral sin cometerle falta. Siempre fue la pesadilla de este jugador en su época como activo de la especialidad. Cristiano en la actualidad todavía recuerda ese hecho.
Consolido, junto al defensa mejicano Rafael Márquez, una de las duplas más temidas en los torneos tanto a nivel local como a nivel continental..
Puyol participo en muchos juegos de la selección de Cataluña, zona de origen de su nacimiento. Confeso catalán independista, para el exjugador fue un orgullo portar la camiseta de la selección regional en su país. Este hecho no le impidió ser miembro de la selección española de futbol logrando en ella muchos títulos importantes para su carrera profesional.
Debuto en la selección española de futbol de la mano del entonces técnico José Antonio Camacho logrando 100 participaciones a nivel mundial con España y terminando su participación profesional en la misma como capitán de la selección.
Con España participo en tres mundiales de futbol, Corea-Japón 2002, Alemania 2006 y Sudáfrica 2010. En este último saliendo campeón con la selección. A nivel de Eurocopa participo en la edición del 2004 donde España cae eliminada en la fase de grupo. En la Eurocopa del 2008 logra el título continental con la selección de oro de España. Para el 2012 Puyol no pudo participar en el torneo intercontinental por una grave lesión de rodilla.

Entre sus palmares conseguidos como jugador se pueden destacar las siguientes competiciones.

- 1 Medalla de Oro Olímpica
- 3 Liga de Campeones de la UEFA
- 2 Supercopas de Europa
- 2 Mundiales de clubes
- 1 Eurocopa

Aparte de innumerables premios y trofeos individuales donde se puede destacar la medalla al mérito olímpico que se otorga en España así como gran cantidad de nominaciones a los equipos ideales tanto en la liga local como en la competición continental más importante de futbol.

Para marzo del 2011 después de 19 años en la entidad azulgrana y 15 temporadas en el primer equipo Carles Tarzan Puyol, El Capi anuncia su retirada de las canchas de futbol. Una grave lesión de rodilla lo lleva a tomar la decisión. Admite que ya era hora de dejar de jugar a pesar de querer hacerlo hasta la edad de 40 años, meta que se había propuesto desde sus inicios de carrera profesional.
Ya como exfutbolista Puyol fue miembro de del área técnica de la entidad catalana hasta el año del 2015 donde decide dejar el puesto para dedicarse a su vida personal.

Good evening soccer-maniacs of the community #worldoffootbal. A big greeting to all community members and the rest of the #steemit family.
Here I offer you my participation in the FOOTBALL BIOGRAPHY contest organized in the community. I will write to you about someone I consider a stronghold in world soccer.
Carles Puyol, considered a living legend in soccer, is a former soccer player born in the town of Puebla de Segur, Lérida in Catalonia, Spain. Known to Culé fans as the Capi or in Latin America as Tarzan Puyol, a nickname given by Chilean-born sports commentator Luis Omar Tapia.
His entire career was developed within the FC. BARCELONA debuting as a player in the lower category of the entity in the 1995-1996 season. Formed in La Masía, his position at that time was on the right side. As time went by, he alternated that position until he became a central defender. Perhaps one of the best in Europe during his career as a professional.
The jump to the first equipment of the azulgrana organization happens in season 1999-2000 of the hand of the then technician the Dutch Louis Van Gaal. In that season I dispute 37 of the 38 games scheduled in The Spanish League of soccer obtaining the prize of Revelation Player of the League granted by the organization of the competition.
With the exit of the team of players like Luis Enrique and Philip Cocu, Tarzan Puyol becomes the Capital of the team thanks to the election made by the rest of the members of the staff and with the approval of the then coach Frank Rijkaard.
His versatility and way of marking the most renowned forwards of the opposing teams made him a reference as a defender within the European clubs of that time. In the year 2005 he achieved his first cup title with the club azulgrana winning the League that season and the following year he achieved his first European title by winning the UEFA Champions League with the Catalan team.
In the 2007-2008 season, The Capi returns to the field after a knee injury that had kept him out of the game for three months. This fact only caused him to miss one month of competition. In that season he managed to set a historical record in the Spanish Football League by becoming the player to get the most balls recovered in a game. 22 in total surpassing defender Sergio Ramos in that record and which he still holds today.

For the 2008-2009 season, he managed to get the first historical triplet of the Guardiola era, which led him to get a position in the club's museum. A few months later he managed to get the famous sextet that has given so much historical value to the Catalan club in competitions at club level both in Europe and the rest of the world.
For the year 2011 he manages to get, for the third time in a row, the title of the Spanish League. In the same year it also won its second Champions League title by beating Manchester United in the final. In this game he gave one of the greatest demonstrations of resistance and tenacity as a central defender. I remember in one of the many plays that took place in the game when the FC Barcelona is badly stopped after an attack to the rival area and with a counterattack made by Manchester United, you can see the advance of the English team towards the area of the Catalan team and in the lower part of the TV screen you can see a blue-green mark returning to the area at full speed and positioning itself in its defense position and manages to stop an attack of the Christian player Ronaldo, taking the ball away from him in a masterful way without committing a foul. It was always the nightmare of this player in his time as an asset of the specialty. Cristiano still remembers that fact today.

Puyol participated in many games of the Catalan national team, the area of origin of his birth. He confessed to being an independent Catalan, and was proud to wear the shirt of the regional team in his country. This fact did not prevent him from being a member of the Spanish national soccer team, where he won many important titles for his professional career.
He made his debut in the Spanish national soccer team under then-coach José Antonio Camacho, achieving 100 participations worldwide with Spain and finishing his professional participation as captain of the national team.
With Spain he participated in three World Cups, Korea-Japan 2002, Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010. In this last one he was champion with the national team. At the European level he participated in the 2004 edition where Spain was eliminated in the group phase. In the 2008 Eurocup, he won the continental title with the Spanish national team. In 2012 Puyol was unable to participate in the intercontinental tournament due to a serious knee injury.

Apart from countless awards and individual trophies where we can highlight the Olympic merit medal awarded in Spain as well as a large number of nominations to the ideal teams both in the local league and in the most important continental soccer competition.

For March 2011, after 19 years in the Azulgrana entity and 15 seasons in the first team Carles Tarzan Puyol, El Capi announces his retirement from the soccer fields. A serious knee injury leads him to make the decision. He admits that it was time to stop playing despite wanting to do so until the age of 40, a goal he had set himself since the beginning of his professional career.
As a former soccer player, Puyol was a member of the technical area of the Catalan entity until 2015 when he decided to leave the position to dedicate himself to his personal life.

Puyol se convirtió en uno de los mejores defensas de la historia. Liderazgo, destreza, tenacidad, compromiso, algunas de las capacidades que demostró como profesional.
El Bartça tuvo mucho suerte de contar con el en sus filas.
