Real Madrid : 2 - 0 : Valencia ( Review )

Hello football fans !!! Finally, a convincing win for Real Madrid for me. This is the type of the game that I am looking from them. Good Pass, counter attacks , good delivery in the box. I loved it every play from them even though there's some which could have been played better. Let's look at the final score :

Real Madrid started off the game very strongly and it looked like they are determined to win the game. They were the better side for first ten minutes with their accurate passes, constant pressure of attacks. Benzema got clipped in the ankle but luckily no harm was done. It was scary moment for the Zidane as he was already suffering from injury crisis. But later at 12' , he scored fabulous goal from outside the goal and helped Real Madrid to give early lead after their dominant performance.

Daniel Carvajal who just came back after the injury got injured again at 28'. It was very tough moment for the coach and team as he was boost to team to fill the gap for the Right back. Let's hope it is not that serious. Lucas Vazquez came in to fill the Right Back position even though he's meant to play in Wing position but he had played few games in Right back this season due to injury crisis. Real Madrid continue to pressure Valencia. Valencia's defense was very much open and it looked like they are lacking defense in Right hand side and Real Madrid took full advantage on the Right and continued to play from there.

This time Lucas Vazquez looked promising . Tackling , covering grounds, passing and delivering promising balls to the box which was not the case back in those previous games. I hope he continue this form. With Real Madrid continuingly creating build plays, Finally they got paid off , when their execution turned out perfect in 42'. It all started from Modric when he passed the ball towards Vazquez in the box and he patiently waited and passed the ball to Toni Kroos in his trademark region and he did the rest to put Real Madrid front by 2 goals. What a goal was that , hit low , keeper had no chance.

In Second Half, Valencia slightly started to play the ball more but couldn't create any threat to Madrid. There was few attacks made in second half but not that much. At 61' Mendy's goal was overruled by VAR because of offside and later also he got great chance to score again but failed to score with his right foot. Asensio also got his chance from through ball but he didn't trust to control with his weaker right foot but instead tried to control with his left foot but unable to control it. If it was controlled , Real Madrid could have chance to score 3 goals. Little Unfortunate. Other than that game went good for Real Madrid.

This was my favorite game By Real Madrid so far. Still Vinicius Jr needs to give more good passes . Often I saw him making bad passes outside and inside box. Other than that, it's good to see team in this form. I would love to see more of those short turning into Short on Target. Let's look at the final stats :

With this win Real Madrid are in second place behind Atletico Madrid with 5 points but Atletico are yet to play 2 games. Barcelona are third with 3 points behind but has one game in hand to level up the point with Real Madrid.
