THE PENALTY THAT ALMOST COST US OUR GAME

Today I remembered a very important point of our game against SNITT team. This was the penalty that was awarded after an offense was committed within the 18 yard of our goal post. It wasn't a clear-cut foul to me but the referee's decision is the ultimate and we must respect it.

I had great faith in our goalkeeper @roma078 who exhibited great reflexes throughout the game. He made 5 saves in the game and cleared several balls approaching the danger zone.

Julius from the SSNIT team took responsibility of this particular penalty and approached the ball head-on. This was equally matched by the focus of our goalkeeper. He was able to predict the direction but wasn't fast enough to stop the ball from entering the goal post.

In the rest of the match, we saw signature Roma back in action and controlled the center backs as well as the full backs. That is what I always like to see from a goalkeeper.

Initially, I had some doubts as to who could be our potential goalkeeper but with the character and spirit shown by @roma078, I can boldly say that we now have a first goalkeeper.

We would need to assess more players to see who can cover him when he's unavailable in the subsequent matches.
