Hello everyone, greetings to you from my side of the world. My participation post for the "How good are you" contest, the Men's Champions League version. But before the main meal (The predictions) lets us have appetizers (Brief Analysis) first, if you don't mind?

ANALYSIS

DYNAMO KYIV VS BAYERN M.

The last encounter between the two in the Champions League matchday 2 ended in favour of Bayern Munich with a scoreline of 5-0, but coming into this game Bayern is on a two-game losing streak, therefore, would like to go back to winning, coming against a Kyiv team that is yet to score a single goal in this competition should be easy if they take their chances.

VILLARREAL VS MAN. UNITED

These two are known for frequent draws between them with 5 draws from 6 matches and a low turnout of goals.
Their previous match in the Champions League matchday 2 finished in favour of Manchester United and a scoreline of 2-1, being the only game in the 6 to have a winner. I judge that Villarreal will have to work hard as a team to breach this Manchester United team who would wanna get to the knockout stage after last season disappointment.

BARCELONA VS BENFICA

The last meeting between these clubs in the Champions League matchday 2 was a thorn on the flesh for Barcelona as it ended up 3-0 in favour of Benfica. Barcelona with a new Manager in Xavi would have it within them to score a couple of goals to reciprocate the feeling as they would also want to hold onto the second spot.

YOUNGBOYS VS ATALANTA

On matchday 2, Atalanta edged youngboys to just a 1-0 win, taking control of the game. Young Boys being at home this time around should at least get to score against this Atalanta team, but that probably wouldn’t be enough to avoid a defeat again.

LILLE VS SALZBURG

Salzburg got the better of Lille in their last encounter (2-1) with Lille taking the lion share of possession. considering all factors, Red Bull Salzburg and Lille should both be able to score here. Therefore, it’s hard to pick a clear winner.

SEVILLA VS WOLFSBURG

It was a tie last time these two teams met. With Sevilla getting a late goal and currently sitting at the bottom of the group Sevilla needs the win more. Wolfsburg would be disheartened if they were not to get a goal against Sevilla, but it probably shouldn’t be enough to avoid defeat.

MALMO VS ZENITH

The previous meeting among these two in St Petersburg was the stuff of dream for zenith, whitewashing Malmo (4-0). Malmo is yet to score a single goal or get a point in this competition. With that in mind, Zenith should take the day.

CHELSEA VS JUVENTUS

Chelsea took all 3 points last time they met, with Chelsea having total control of the game with 73% In possession. The game ended 1-0, with that being the only goal Chelsea have conceded in this competition. Chelsea may be without some first-team players for this encounter, but I think they can have a good day.

BESIKTAS VS AJAX

Ajax is a Joy to watch, and it was on display for everyone to see in their previous encounter, where they dominated play with 71% possession and a 2-0 win. Besiktas seems to be the whopping team in the group as they sit bottom without a point after 4 matches. I'm rooting for Ajax to take the day.

INTER MILAN VS SHAKHTAR

In their last encounter, Shakhtar Donetsk managed 66% possession but it was a stalemate, a goalless draw. But this time, Shakhtar Donetsk should get enough to get a goal against Inter Milan, however, Inter is expected to take the day.

CLUB BRUGGE VS LEIPZIG

66% possession and 14 attempts weren't enough for Leipzig to avoid losing in their last encounter as Club Brugge by 2-1. Leipzig seems to be struggling even with their performances thereby sitting bottom of the group. Therefore, I am expecting a thrilling encounter.

MAN CITY VS PSG

Looking at their last 6 Head-to-Head games, it shows us that City has won 3 of these games & PSG with 1, points were shared in 2. The last of these fixtures came on matchday 2 of this season where PSG were the winners by 2 nil. Therefore, I am expecting a thriller with City sneaking the win.

A. MADRID VS AC MILAN

In the previous encounter among themselves, A. Madrid left it late to steal the show. Even though they controlled the game, Milan made it difficult for them. A. Madrid will most likely dominate play again and be rewarded with decent chances. However, AC Milan might well make it a difficult task for them to find the back of the net, and be dangerous themselves.

LIVERPOOL VS PORTO

Going back memory lane, Liverpool has always had the upper hand in this fixture.
Porto has not managed to register any victory against Liverpool, with Liverpool finishing as winners in 83% of those games played. And this match should not be different.

SPORTING VS DORTMUND

The last encounter between these two teams went to the Yellow and Black as they got 1-0 better than sporting. So sporting will try to avoid being on the losing end, but I don't see Dortmund losing either.

SHERIFF VS R. MADRID

Their first-ever encounter back in matchday 2 was the stuff of dreams, as they arrested R. Madrid to a 2-1 win even though Madrid controlled proceedings. Sheriff knows being at the group stage alone was a dare to dream scenario but will be hoping to at least finish 3rd on the group.
