Westham vs Arsenal; full time highlights and thoughts.
On paper arsenal was supposed to win this fixture without much difficulty but with west ham's recent run of good form you would have expected their brilliant half performance.
All you can say is wow after watching westham throw away a 3 goal lead to arsenal and ask your self how they did not win that match.
A match that shouted a win for westham right from the word go but at the end individual quality played a vital part in arsenal coming back from three goals down.
You cant deny the fact that if westham were able to bury their chances which hit the post then maybe just maybe they would have won the game.
One cant deny the fact that odegaard is a generational talent and sometimes you would questions why real madrid let him go? ,well such is life.
Well one would say the result was harsh on westham but from arsenals point of view they never gave up even after going 3 goals down.
They never let the team spirit die and they kept their Hope's high until the end .
One could say if arsenal plays like this every week they can go on and win the Europa league and get into a pretty decent position in the league table.
Even though Odegaard didn't give an assist or score a goal he was exceptional today. The guy is able to give passes even with his eyes closed. He gives passes that would make anyone fall in love with football all over again.
One could easily give the man of the match award to odegaard but how could you ignore Lacazette's man of the match performance.
Lingard was on top form today, he was definitely a standout player for westham
From their point of view defensive mistakes cost them the game after their defensive players made two huge errors to score two own goals.
Westham should have done better after going 3 goals up but what do they say; the game is not over until the whistle goes for full time.
The commentators from Sky Sports gave man of the match to Calum Chambers. He gave West Ham's defence a torrid time and was the one to set up Lacazette (who had a good game) and the Dawson own goal - I got to watch this one too unexpectedly so have some thoughts drafted which I'll share later 👍
I was able to watch it in bits, i watched most of it in the second half .maybe thats why ive based my thoughts on arsenal .
