Football is great sport loved by people of different ages around the world. All these people play and practice for diffrent purposes but to be a professional footballer you must be at your very best to be at the top with the big guys. You have to standout with your qualities for football scouters to have a hard time not picking on you. Below are some tips on how to be that guy:
1. You should have the desire and determination
To put in the work, you need something that drives you everyday when you wake up, you need that motivation, desire and passion for the game. Only that can drive you to work hard to be able to succeed.
2. Put in The Work
Having the desire to be a professional football, you need to train real hard. When you go to the football fields there a lot of people who plays for different reasons. Some play for body fitness, some for fun and some just like you to be a professional footballer. So the only way to standout is to train for extra hours. Get some extra hours after your daily practice. Practice on the basic things and make sure you get perfect each day.
3. Set Goals
Setting goals for a particular time period lets you know where you are heading to. It gives you a clear path on where and how to improve on your skills as a footballer. You will need bigger goals and mini goals, mini goals push you to achieve the bigger goals. You also need to set mini goals like your daily achievement. Everyday when you are out to train on the pitch set yourself a goal what you want to achieve before leaving the pitch. This way you have something to work on yourself.
4. Listen to Advice
As a young player, you need advice from people who have gone through what you are now about to experience. Through their journey there were probably some mistakes they made which cost them their carrier at some point. These advice may help you avoid some mistakes and help you to make better decisions for yourself.
5. Get a mentor
You need to know the path to go through, you need to know what decision to take at a particular time. All these is to avoid making wrong decisions. So you need a mentor who will guide you through it all. At my previous point i made it clear you should listen to advice. So to be specific you should listen to advice from people you trust, that's why its important to have a mentor who guides and advice you through their experience. Taking advice form any other person might cost you. So be careful with that.
The points above are the basic things that will get you going to work on your goals and achieve them. You need to stick and abide by them and it’s assured you are a step away from your goal.
