CONTEST: ABOUT MY COUNTRY'S NATIONAL TEAM by preye2
Hello My Lovely Steemians,
I will start by thanking @marcybetancourt for organizing such a wonderful contest, I really love her because of her love for football. It is true that most of the times we write and concentrate more about players and clubs from Europe. Nevertheless, we still have our country's national team in mind.
I am from Nigeria and the nickname of our senior football "National Team" is "The Super Eagles". The Nigeria national football team (Super Eagles) are been governed by the Nigeria Football Federation.
Nigeria being the giant of Africa has won so many trophies including winning the African Cup of Nation three times (1980, 1994, 2013).
Nigeria equally have a junior national team called the Golden eaglets, which has won the under-17 FIFA world cup four (4) times (1985, 1993, 2007, 2013).
The Nigeria super eagles are made up of so many wonderful players, and a smart coach (Gernot Rohr). Ahmed Musa the team's captain remains my favorite player in the super eagles, because of his wonderful display of leadership in the 2018 FIFA world cup matches.
The super eagles are made up of players who have travelled around the world playing for one football club or the other. The likes of Victor Moses, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, William Troost-Ekong etc are playing for different big teams in the Premier League.
The super eagle are currently ranking 35th in the FIFA ranking. Our greatest rivals has been Argentina, the have defeated so many times including knocking us out in the 2018 FIFA world cup which was our sixth appearance in the world cup.
The colour of the Nigeria flag is green and white, so the super eagles's Uniform is always designed with the same color (green and white). The logo of the super eagles is the shape of an eagle🦅 on the left hand side of the players chest.
I am very confident that my country's national team (super eagle) will qualify for the next FIFA world cup coming up 2022. Because one of the best midfielders in the football business (Samuel Chukwueze that is playing for Villarreal) is equally a super eagle player.

Hi, @preye2. Finally someone from home is talking about "The Super Eagles".
Nigeria is a very important team not only in African football but also in world football. Their players have been excellent in Premier League clubs, and in other countries as well.
The junior team is extraordinary!
The Nigerian team, since its first appearance in the World Cup of Football, has made the hearts of its fans vibrate in America.
I also think he's an intelligent coach.
Samuel's play in midfield has been fantastic. His dribbling and long balls, with Villarreal has brought goals for that club. But he has the great weakness of not contributing to the defense.
I hope that the Nigerian National Team will qualify for the World Cup and be the first African nation to win this competition.
