What are Basic Skills of football, Rules and Regulations

in World Of Football ⚽3 years ago

A football match begins with a coin toss. The match referee and the two captains meet in the center of the field. The captain of the team that wins the toss decides which goalpost to attack in the first half, and the team that loses the toss starts the match to start the match.

Players take positions in their own half of the field. The ball is placed in the center of the field. As soon as the referee blows his whistle, the player on the losing team takes the kick-off and the ball moves forward. That player may not touch the ball again until any other player on either team has touched it. In the second half, the teams change goals and the team that wins the toss starts the game.

Football - basic skills

I have listed here a few basic skills that a player must acquire to become a professional footballer.

Learn to dribble - This is the most important act in the game. Dribbling means controlling and maintaining possession of the ball while you run. Dribbling means keeping the ball with you and your team's possession, you need to dribble well so that you touch the ball hard enough to move it forward, but you also have to make sure that it does not go very far away from you.

Learn to pass - Passing the ball means exactly moving the ball to where you want it to be. To pass the ball, you must kick it in the direction you want it to move. You can pass the ball with the inside of the foot, this will give good accuracy and require less energy. Once you learn how to pass the ball, you can master this action by cutting and hooking the ball to pass it to your teammates.

Learn to shoot - Shooting the ball happens when you get close to the goal and you need to score a goal. This will take a lot of power and precision. You need to place your plantar foot, aim at the target and shoot the ball.

It is very important to get in the right place on the field. Sometimes a player needs to run a lot when he is not near the ball, in this situation the player needs to evaluate his teammate's next move and take the position that his teammate expects from him.

Learn to defend the goal - The player uses skills to try to dodge the ball from the opponent. The player must be focused and must hit the ball quickly based on the movements of the other player. In some situations, opposing players can cheat, but the player must constantly monitor the ball and the player's movements. Thus, the player can protect the opponent from a goal.

Learn to head the ball - The player uses his forehead to steer the ball in the desired direction and pass it to his teammate. When scoring a goal after a corner kick, a headbutt often occurs.

Learn to juggle - Juggling is not an easy task, but it is important for the player to learn to juggle when needed. This helps control the ball as it flies through the air, as the ball will not touch the ground every time.

Learn to use the non-dominant foot - It is very important for a player to learn how to use the non-dominant foot as it can be an advantage for the opposing team if not mastered. Playing with only a dominant foot is a game with a disability. Therefore, it is very important to learn how to use the non-dominant foot.

Learn to be spontaneous and keep your originality - This is the key to mastering the game. Your own style of play is a big advantage. You need to learn to be cunning, fast, powerful or defensive.

Football - Rules and Regulations

Let's also understand the rules of the game that must be followed during the game. Some of the basic rules and regulations of the game are listed here.

Offside Offside is one of the most important rules of football. It is mainly designed in such a way that players do not spend too much time near the opponent's goal. A player can be said to be offside when he is in the opponent's half of the field, as well as behind the last defender.

Throw-in comes into play when the ball is kicked or the ball is completely out of bounds. The throw-in chance is given to the team that did not touch it last. The throw-in may be taken from where the ball is out of bounds. A throw-in means grabbing the ball with both hands behind the head and throwing it in the field.

The yellow card rules - A yellow card is given to players by the referee when a player commits a mistake. The referee shows the player yellow, warning him of the first error. If a player is shown a yellow card twice, he must leave the game for good. The reason why the referee showed a yellow card -

  • Players who play the game without following the rules of the game.

  • Dangerous play, which means injury to the head of the opposing team members.

  • Intentionally hitting any player.

  • The goalkeeper is breaking the rules of the game by handing the ball to his teammates when they kick.

  • Deliberate waste of time playing.

  • The red card rules - A red card is given when a player is shown a yellow card twice and then makes a mistake. Reasons why the referee shows a red card to a player:

  • Cause physical harm to a player by intentionally kicking.

  • Deliberately jumps at the player.

  • Roughly hitting the player or charging him.

  • Push or hold the player.

  • Incorrect ball handling.

Free kick -

These are given as penalties for team players when the opposing team commits a foul. There are two types of free kicks -

Direct free kick - In this case, the ball can be kicked directly into the goal and does not need to be passed or touched by a team-mate of the kicker.

Indirect kick - In this case, the ball must be touched by another team-mate of the player who kicked it before a goal is scored.

The rules of penalty kick - A penalty kick occurs when a player of the defending team fouls in the opposing team's penalty area. All players, except the goalkeeper, must queue outside the penalty area. The goalkeeper must be on the goal line. The ball must be placed on the 11 meter point and then kicked.

Corner kick- The chance of a corner kick occurs when the ball crosses the goal line but misses the goal and was last touched by a member of the defending team.

Goal kick - When the ball crosses the goal line but misses the goal and was last touched by the attacking team, the ball goes into the possession of the defending team and the goal kick is taken by the goalkeeper.
