Cristiano Ronaldo, arguably the Greatest Player of All Time (GOAT) is a Portuguese by nationality and as influential as he is, his national team will be needing him to retain the Euros trophy they secure in the previous campaign.
Many have debated that the suppers star's reign has come to an end saying his criticality in front of the post has significantly gone down.
Looking at the position of his club team Juventus, which had a narrow escape to play champions league next season, many will conclude the Portuguese superstar campaign of football excellence has come to an end. However, although Juventus was not on top of its form this season, the superstar’s efforts placed him the best goal poacher in the season, scoring 29 goals to win the top goal scorer award.

On the international friendlies where Portugal secured a massive 4-0 win against Israel communicated clearly that the team was going to be a tough competition. The superstar started the gameplay with so many expectations from supporters and unfortunately, he didn’t have so much of a good day although he managed to secure the second goal of the day for his team. Cristiano may be playing well but the standards he has set from his previous campaigns tell us he is not on his top form.
Much will be expected from the Captain of the Portuguese team, Ronaldo and he will have to deliver to keep his name highly ranked. The transfer window has top clubs like Madrid and PSG looking at his performance in this competition and outstanding performance can do a lot for him in this transfer window as Juventus are considering letting the superstar out of the door.
One would say it is too early to conclude the superstar star has lost his criticality in front of the goal post. When Mourinho was asked about Ronaldo on talkSPORTS

Mourinho joked: “He should leave Italy now and leave me in peace!”
Ronaldo is 36 but still producing great and consistent numbers at Juventus.
” Everybody says, and I say the same, he’s not 25 anymore. He’s 36. He doesn’t score 50 goals, but how many did he score? 35! The record is incredible, the numbers speak by themselves.
Mourinho

In a nutshell, these are just tough times for the superstar and he will have to prove he is not a 'DEAD GOAT’
