WORLD OF FOOTBALL - OUR COMMUNITY GOALS
COMMUNITY BACKGROUND
This community was created on the 20th September, 2020 in hopes of creating the biggest football community here on the steemit ecosystem and is in line with the 1000 DAYS OF STEEM : The Communities Support Program. It was noticed that the number of football lovers here on steem are growing by the minute. Therefore, why not create a safe space where every individual with a passion of playing, watching, writing and reading of the sport can find great publications that align with their interests.
We plan to foster engagement through organizing contests and selection of the top ten post each week. These top posts can get nice upvotes from our supporters (steemcurators). We hope that such initiative will build the interests of everyone and will keep our community very active as well.
COMMUNITY ADMINISTRATION
OFFICIAL ACCOUNT
We have now established an official account (@worldoffootball) for the community. All posts and announcement from this account will be set at a 100% power up. This will help us boost our own curation ability and help us to reward good content within the community. All the weekly top ten picks of the community will be announced through this account and the upvotes will also go into our steem power as well.
MODS/ADMIN
We are very keen on selecting prospective community members to fill these roles to help with the smooth management of the community. These ADMINS/MODS activities will help in promoting growth within this community and steemit as a whole. We are looking forward to selecting a very diverse team of ADMINS/MODS since the community is expecting to see members coming from all around the world. Country Representatives with wide knowledge on football matters and current affairs (but not limited to them) are particularly encouraged to come forward.
For now, @dfacademy has been selected to join as an MOD. They have proven to not only be well versed in the game of football, but take the promotion of steemit very seriously. Members will not be left out of this initiative as we will be looking at individuals who bring the most value into the community on matters in line with community objectives to join the team.
Proof of general knowledge on football related issues/events should be demonstrated by prospective administrators. Our ADMINS/MODS will help us in the community as follows;
- Assist with the management of the @worldoffootball account.
- Assist with the management and scoring of various contests/drills.
- Help promote this community in various regions.
- Translate various posts into various languages ( eg. Spanish)

We will be resteeming the various entries of our contests with this account as well as posts which have been carefully put together.
STEEM POWER DELEGATIONS
We are inviting all and sundry to delegate any amount of steem power to our official @worldoffootball account. This community is barely 3 days old and people are trooping in by the minute. We are therefore certain of constant engagement since football is the most discussed sport in the world.
The benefits of such a delegation are numerous as you would earn on curation without having to vote yourself. We expect some nice upvotes from our sponsors (The steemit team) which will boost curation rewards on your SP delegation. Also, you can pull back your steem power delegation at any point in time should you see it unfitting/ unrewarding.
RECRUITMENTS
We would be hosting mini challenges such as recruitment contests to help members find and bring more members from their respective countries/regions. This will push this community to a worldwide level.
MEMBER RANKINGS
For now, each member will be labelled “Member” upon posting into the community. But moving forward, we are going to put different labels based on value addition and constant engagement. Labels such as Pro Member, Drill expert, etc should be be expected.

We have very high hopes for the success of this community as it keeps gaining popularity among members. We will keep pondering over ideas that will help promote football on steem and seeing our vision of making this incredibly large come to pass. Thank you.

This looks like great progress.
Good to have got the @worldoffootball account set up. This would have been an ideal post to have put out on that new account to kickstart it.
We would suggest getting a variety of MODS and ADMINS from around the world, who cover different languages.
One area you will have to be particularly careful about will be sourcing of images.
Most footballer images are not free to use / copyright free. You will need to research that carefully and give clear guidelines as we will find it difficult to vote on posts using copyrighted images.
Maybe you could team up with the art community to do a contest for people to produce paintings or drawings of famous footballers !

Yes, I am currently looking for a diverse team of ADMINS/MODS from around the world but it is taking longer than I intended. I am on the lookout for people who show promising signs of making a good MOD/ADMIN here. I am open to any of your suggestions as well.
I am going to research on the sites that offer copyright-free images of football as a sport and post it through the @worldoffootball account to enlighten everyone.
An art contest is a fantastic idea and teaming up with the art community is sure to broaden the scope of participation. That will surely be our next contest.

For the football art contest you could talk with Country Reps @adeljose and @leveuf as they are both involved with World of Xpilar where there are a lot of artists.
Also @stef1 specializes in that area.
If we come across any keen football fans that might be good mods/admins we will tag you.
Maybe also ask the other country reps if they know anyone suitable.
