Here comes another exciting contest within the world of football community, tell us about your favorite memory. i will be able to wish to make an entry of an area football match I ever watched in Chereponi that's stuck in my memory.

It has always been kept as a treasure and that i will wish to share my memory of that fantastic and exciting game with you all. Find your reading lens and grab a chair let’s roll it as I share with you my favorite football memory.

Growing up as a child in my community, football has been the foremost dominating sporting activities in most communities in Ghana, that has yielded in formation of the many football teams and also produced good number of successful players and chereponi is of no exception.

The memory that has since stuck in my memory was a football match between my community local teams, Wadata fc vrs chereponi fc.

Wadata fc Team

Both teams are noted to possess this strong rivalry a bit like the El classic between Bacelona vrs Real Madrid or also just like the Manchester derby or the London derby.

It was a match everyone was expecting , others called it the Chereponi El classico. The intensity of the sport and therefore the desire for the game also because of the strong rivalry of that game emanated from a previous district cup tournament that ever played.

In that tournament both Wadata fc and Chereponi fc had performed wonders , filled with young players with such a lot skills, talent, diligence and determination. They both qualified right from group stages through to knockout, quarterfinals, semifinals and that they met at finals.

The finals was indeed the sweetness of football that left the fans with such a lot joy and excitement, therein faithful game that ended 1-1 draw after additional overtime of play. Wadata fc lost the final within the penalty shootout, the football community and fans really think Wadata fc deserved to have won the cup rather than their opponent.

It remains the favorite memory because that game was the return of the finals that Wadata fc lost and they wanted to actually show that they will take an honest revenge.

It was an exciting evening when all supporters of both teams and other spectators gathered at the Chereponi town park adjacent the Chereponi police station where the match was to require to take place.

The grounds were so exciting expecting the begin . Second half of the sport started with such a lot display of play, Chereponi fc making series of plan to attack but hey Wadata fc defense won’t allow, it had been the magical goal from the striker of Chereponi fc who found the back of the net at the 65th minutes of playtime with a robust long distance shot.

Wadata fc returned to the drawing board to manage the match well where they created an honest number of chances and eventually scores two additional beautiful goals that basically show skills, team play and that they over powered Chereponi fc. The match closed 3:1 in favor of Wadata fc and therefore the fans were left singing and dancing into the sector that basically showed that the revenge was well taken and well deserving.

Who couldn’t have least expected it that the results might generate a fight between the fans? right after the closing of the game the fans started insults ,singing and dancing that become a significant scene that was unfortunate.
Physical injuries were caused, some sustained injury through stones et al. others run away escaping injury. Most fans sustained injury but it wasn’t that life threatening and they were managed at the district hospital, fortunately no player had injury.
It remains the my football favorite memory, the rivalry, the challenge to require a revenge during a return game, the atmosphere from the fans, the thrill , the singing of the fans, the defeat and its disappointment, the unfortunate scene after the sport all makes it a special favorite memory in football.
