Man United vs Granada first leg overview
There were 3 changes to the United lineup from the last match with James and Mctominay starting, and De gea finally getting his first start in 7games.
The first half started with an interruption by a streaker who ran into the pitch at the 6th minute. For most part of the first half, Granada sat back and invited United to attack.
The deadlock was broken in the 31st minute when Lindelof spotted the run of Rashford and played a majestic ball over the top and Rashford had a good first touch, then slotted the ball past the keeper for United's first goal. In the second half, Granada looked to go on the attack in order to get a goal, but the United defense was airtight.
Then in the 90th minute, Bruno scored a penalty after being fouled by a Granada player in the box to make it 2nil to United.
Man United faced the brunt of some awful refereeing, with United being shown the yellow card 5 times upon the Granada players being excessively aggressive. Shaw, Mctominay and Maguire are to miss the next leg due to suspensions.
