In a game of Predictions I said:
If the stars favor there could be finals with English clubs in the two European Championships.
Today was known the name of the club that will face Manchester City in the final of Istanbul. The club Chelsea won against Real Madrid 2-0 at the Stamford Bridge stadium, and will be in the grand final of the European club competition.
For many it is a surprise what happened. For me it was not. Chelsea is a team I have been studying for a long time. They have youth, speed, good outlets and depth.
Real Madrid didn't play badly, it's just that Chelsea were better. Thomas Tuchel knew he had the psychological advantage. Chelsea played body to body smothering all possible outlets for the Madrid team. Chelsea's counterattacks were of constant danger until they got the goal in the 28th minute of the first half through Werner.
Prior to this, the same player had a goal disallowed for being offside.
Real Madrid had possession of the ball but did not create danger in Mendy's goal. The end of the first half was in favor of the English team 1-0.
In the second half, Chelsea's superiority prevailed and they managed to score the second goal in the 85th minute, through Mason Mount assisted by Pulisic.
There were a total of 7 yellow cards, 4 for Real Madrid and 3 for Chelsea.
But now comes something very special. In the Premier League, Manchester City and Chelsea will face each other on May 8 as I announced in the title of this post.
In the last 20 meetings between these two teams, Manchester City has won 10 games, Chelsea has won 8 and they have 2 draws.
The last game in the Premier League, played on January 3, 2021, Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-3.
In the FA-Cup competition Chelsea won 1-0, on April 17 this year. In that match Chelsea played brilliantly and in the 55th minute Ziyech with Werner's assist scored the only goal of the match eliminating Manchester City in the FA-Cup competition.
What can we expect for the game on May 8? Manchester City has already won the Premier League with enough points ahead. There are 12 points left to play for and the Blues have 80 points. Second place is held by Manchester United who have 67 points and one game in hand.
Meanwhile, Chelsea is in fourth place with 61 points. They are still in the Champions League places but their position is very compromised as West Ham, Totteham and Liverpool are on the lookout for any slip up.
The match between Manchester City and Chelsea will be crucial for the latter team, especially for Champions or Europa League places. In my view Chelsea will go all out to stay in the Champions League places.
The UCL competition is another thing. There the tactics and strategies are different. Guardiola has done everything necessary to win this competition this year. He was relentless in the group stage reaching 16 points (they did not lose a single game).
Chelsea also did not lose a game in the group stage but had 2 draws, finally achieving 14 points.
Then, in the round of 16, quarterfinals and semifinals, Manchester City won all their matches, showing superiority over the other clubs.
Meanwhile, Chelsea eliminated Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 with great superiority. In the quarterfinals they eliminated Porto even though they lost the second leg, and in the semifinals they played a very classy football against Real Madrid.
With this summary it can be seen that Pep Guardiola has always played to win and has succeeded in doing so. While Chelsea have been cohesive in their play and have managed to grow as the competition has progressed.
I believe that Chelsea's pace is unstoppable and they will be the winners in Istanbul.

La previa de la final de la UEFA Champions League, se jugará este sábado 8 de mayo en la Premier League.
En un juego de Pronósticos dije:
Si los astros favorecen pueden darse finales con clubes ingleses en los dos Campeonatos Europeos.
Hoy se conoció el nombre del club que enfrentará al Manchester City en la final de Estambul. El club Chelsea ganó al Real Madrid 2-0 en el estadio Stamford Bridge y estará en la gran final de la competición de clubes de Europa.
Para muchos es una sorpresa lo que ocurrió. Para mí no lo fue. El Chelsea es un equipo que estoy estudiando desde hace tiempo. Tiene juventud, velocidad, buenas salidas y profundidad.
El Real Madrid no jugó mal, simplemente el Chelsea fue mejor. Thomas Tuchel sabía que tenía ventaja psicológica. El Chelsea jugó cuerpo a cuerpo asfixiando todas las posibles salidas del equipo madrileño. Los contraataques del Chelsea fueron de constante peligro hasta que lograron el gol en el minuto 28 del primer tiempo a través de Werner.
Previo a esto, a este mismo jugador le habían anulado un gol por estar fuera de juego.
El Real Madrid tenía posesión del balón pero no creaba peligro en la portería de Mendy. El final del primer tiempo fue a favor del equipo inglés 1-0.
En el segundo tiempo la superioridad del juego del Chelsea se impuso y logró sentenciar en el minuto 85 el segundo gol, a través de Mason Mount con asistencia de Pulisic.
Hubo en total 7 tarjetas amarillas, 4 para el Real Madrid y 3 para el Chelsea.
Pero ahora viene algo muy especial. En la Premier League, se enfrentarán el Manchester City y el Chelsea, el 8 de mayo como anuncié en el título de esta publicación.
En los últimos 20 encuentros entre estos dos equipos, el Manchester City ha ganado 10 partidos, 8 ha ganado el Chelsea y tienen 2 empates.
El último juego en la Premier League, realizado el 3 de enero de 2021, el Manchester City venció 1-3 al Chelsea.
En la competición de FA-Cup el Chelsea ganó 1-0, el 17 de abril de este año. En ese encuentro el Chelsea jugó de forma brillante y en el minuto 55 Ziyech con asistencia de Werner hizo el único gol del partido eliminado al Manchester City en la competencia de la FA-Cup.
¿Qué podemos esperar para el juego del 8 de mayo? El Manchester City ya tiene ganada la Premier League con suficientes puntos de ventaja. Quedan 12 puntos por jugarse y los Blues tienen 80 puntos. El segundo lugar lo ostenta el Manchester United que tiene 67 puntos y un partido menos.
Entre tanto, el Chelsea esta en cuarta posición con 61 puntos. Aún está en puestos de Champions pero su posición es muy comprometida ya que el West Ham, el Totteham y Liverpool están al acecho de cualquier desliz.
El partido entre Manchester City y el Chelsea será crucial para este último equipo, sobre todo para puestos de Champions o Europa League. A mi modo de ver el Chelsea irá con todo para permanecer en los puestos de Champions.
La competición por la UCL es otra cosa. Allí la táctica y las estrategias son otras. Guardiola ha hecho todo lo necesario para ganar esta competición este año. Fue implacable en la fase de grupos alcanzado 16 puntos (no perdieron ningún encuentro).
El Chelsea tampoco perdió juego en la fase de grupo pero tuvo 2 empates, logrando finalmente 14 puntos.
Luego, en octavos, cuartos y semifinal, el Manchester City ganó todos sus partidos marcando superioridad sobre los otros clubes.
Entre tanto, el Chelsea eliminó en octavos al Atlético de Madrid con gran superioridad. En cuartos eliminó al Porto aun cuando perdió el partido de vuelta, y en semifinales jugó un fútbol de mucha clase contra el Real Madrid.
Teniendo este resumen se puede observar que Pep Guardiola ha jugado siempre para ganar y lo ha logrado. Mientras que el Chelsea ha ido cohesionando su juego y ha logrado crecer en la medida en que ha avanzado la competición.
Yo creo que el ritmo que lleva el Chelsea es imparable y serán los campeones en Estambul.

Para mí zidane lo pierde desde el planteamiento colocando un 3-5-2 teniendo los jugadores para jugar su clásico 4-3-3. Militao quedaba muy expuesto jugando de 3er central y vini tenía que bajar mucho, anulando el contragolpe con su jugador más veloz, por otro lado Mendy de carrilero siendo el un jugador más defensivo, hazard de punta casi no toco la pelota. Yo pondría nacho lateral derecho, militao, ramos centrales y Mendy lateral. Dejando a hazard banda izquierda y vini banda derecha con más apoyo de un lateral pasando, ya que cuando la tenía en ofensiva estaba solo, aparte que los jugadores del Madrid se vieron muy cansados.
El Chelsea gran responsable Tuchel llegó y mejoro la defensa en 100% un bloque con 5 hombres muy bien alineados, además de un N'golo Kante que es otro defensa que está en todos lados, tácticamente fueron superiores y en juego mucho más. Se salvó de la goleada el Madrid.
Veo favorito al Man City pero no tan fácil, este equipo del Chelsea FC está muy duro de vencer, tienen mucha solidez en todas sus líneas.

Yo también sentí que Zidane perdió desde el inicio. El juego estuvo mal planteado y no hubo cambios en el segundo tiempo que mejoraran la táctica.
No quiero hablar de lo que vi... aún estoy dolida, jajajaja.
Pero tal como escribí vengo viendo al Chelsea desde hace un buen rato. Es un equipo que ha crecido mucho. En la final de Champions, si City no marca desde el inicio el contraataque del Chelsea puede ser letal.
No sirve de nada tener posesión del balón con las salidas rápidas que tiene el Chelsea y con los huecos que abre en el mediocampo. La defensa de ese equipo está cada vez mejor y los delanteros están respondiendo muy bien. Va a ser una buena final.
