Hello Everyone. The UEFA Euros are coming to it's conclusion. By the time you read this we'll be awaiting the 4 semi finalists to take center stage and battle it out for the glory of stepping into the finals. Today, I'll discuss about my favourite team in this euro.

The four teams which stand today in semifinal are here certainly for a reason. They're the best teams of the competition. And they've proved it by knocking out the other participants. They have shown their might. And each of them have the right and power to go all the way. They are as follow:-Spain, Italy, Denmark, England. All four of them have shown tremendous display of character, sheer will and the team work which is required in this sport. But my attention would be towards England.

Why England is My Favourite Team in This Euro

The home country of football is yet to win a European title. They are playing quite a game this time around. England's allegedly golden generation was caught victim of the rivalries players had between them, regarding the clubs they played for. And this wouldn't let them unite as a team for their nation. Or else they're weren't many who could stop a full fledge Beckham, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney company. Current England manager has put a halt to it. Gareth Southgate has held his grip on these mini rivalries between the players, and has accelerated them towards playing as one. Current crop of players is also heavily talented. The likes of Grealish, Mount, Sterling, Kane, Foden, Sancho, Rice, Philips, Greenwood are the ones to watch out for.

England's star man up front, Harry Kane, had a quiet summer. No goals in the group games, no goals in the round of 16. A dip in form. Many didn't take time at all to criticize him. But as the tournament progressed he found his scoring boots. A game winning goal against Germany and 2 goals against Ukraine, has given the Englishman enough confidence to go ahead and win it for his country. Kane has always been a prolific striker. But his drought in front of goal could've been costly as England's playing style don't give them too many chances to score. You have to make every chance count. And to have your main striker firing at this important stage, can only better England's chances to victory

In the last world cup England has reached the semis too. And this time they have a real chance. Gareth Southgate is a typical English coach who has a defensive approach. The English play has always been about defending being their first priority. And scoring when given the opportunity. This has reflected in England's matches in the euros. 1-0 and 2-0 wins all around. Only in the quarter finals did they manage to score 4 goals against Ukraine. But the most fascinating stat will be England's defense. They haven't conceded a single goal throughout the tournament. Opposition attackers just couldn't get the better of the English defense.

England tend to sit back and let the opponent have ball. And after winning in the defensive third. They counter attack. This is a strategy only working against teams who tend to attack repeatedly. This we could see in their game against Scotland. Out of all the teams England has faced in the euros Scotland were the only defensive minded team. And in that game England have looked below par. And they've drawn the game 0-0. But the remaining teams are quite attack minded, so it goes perfectly to England's plans. with the flair they have up front, with Sterling and Kane in good form along with others, England have quite a chance of going all the way.

For the above reason England is my favourite team in this euro. I'm predicting that England will win this euro. But the real game will be on the pitch. Because, This is football, here the scenario change over the minutes.
