adidas presents the official match ball for the 2021 UEFA Champions League final

Adidas has presented a special edition of the ball with which the champions tournament is played, The "Finale Istanbul 21" and celebrates the 20th anniversary of the design of the crashed ball, which will be used in the final of the UEFA Champions League in the Turkish city on May 29.

The Finale Istanbul 21 will be used in all remaining UEFA Champions League matches this season, starting with the round of 16 and culminating in the final at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on May 29, 2021. First introduced in 2001, the crashing ball design is based on the stars of the UEFA Champions League logo and has since become an iconic symbol of the world's best club competition.

The Finale Istanbul 21 features all the designs from the previous 20 UEFA Champions League finals, weaving the past and present into a high-performance ball. Thin red labels detail each year and city, while thermally bonded star panels provide a seamless surface for a better first touch. The ball continues to offer control, stability in flight and a secure grip thanks to the thermally bonded hexagonal panels, overlapping stars and textured coating. By incorporating a sustainable glue, the ball provides a seamless surface and an improved first touch for greater precision on the field.
