Membership Validation by @Kakape: Tuesday, 18 May,2021
Today is a great day and I deem it a great joy to put together this post, with the aim of getting a membership validation from this lovely community, @WorldOfFootball. I have a great passion for this community simply because it promotes football, which has been one of my passion from childhood. Reading about the membership validation made me highly perplexed, since it will give me the opportunity to share my knowledge on how to come up and create posts that will help promote this lovely community.
As time advances, some of the things I would be sharing with football lovers of this lovely community will include some of the greatest come-backs in football, funny moments, sad moments, previews of some very competitive matches and leagues, provide updates about certain great players of our time, some interesting player transfers and a whole lot more which I believe would add up more fun and make this community interesting.
Content Etiquette
Furthermore, my understanding of content etiquette is that they are certain rules and regulations that shuns one from posting or presenting ideas which are not original without referencing the original author.
This boils down to the fact that every idea you think of might have been thought of by others. One has to acknowledge the fact that, the original authors of some ideas have copyrights as sole owners and needs to be referenced or acknowledged when that same idea is being used else where. Failure to do so, one could face jail time or be fined or face other forms of serious punishment. In view of all these, one should always remember to site ideas which are not original as it has been preached at all angles in this community.
Plagiarism
The term plagiarism can defined as the act of presenting someone's work as your own with or without their consent, by putting it into your work without acknowledging the original author. It does not matter whether it is intentional or unintentional.
University of Oxford
Some people misinterpret plagiarism to be only when you copy the original author's ideas word-for-word. Even when you present the original authors ideas in your own words, you still have to acknowledge them since your are not the originator on the idea. In sight of this, I will do my possible best to acknowledge original authors when I use their ideas in my posts and also, paraphrase them as much as possible as required by @steemitblog chain.
Copyright abuse
Copyright is a law that allows originators of products to own intellectual property legally.
Investopedia
In simple terms, it means that only the original authors or people they give permission to have the right to use the idea. Immediately the work is used without the approval of the original author, it becomes an abuse. In places like the US, the only time you can duplicate a product without the original authors consent is 70years after their demise.Investopedia
Copyright abuse on the other hand is the use of a material which is protected by copyright without the permission of the originator Investopedia
This is a very serious crime where one can be sued but in the case of this platform can lead to the offender being muted. In order to cite correctly, one can follow the processes described by @njaywan and @worldoffootball
