Hello friens,
I am greeting you from the western part of Africa, Nigeria and i must say a very big thanks to @njawan for organising such a great contest. Below are some of my explaination on football and i belief after reading it any one who has never heard about the name football he or she will know the meanning of football and will be able to explain it to any one.

LITTLE BRIEF ON SOCCER
Football was originate in england in the year 1863. But professionalism soccer started in the year in scotland in 1885. on the 21st of may 1904 seven countries namely: Belgium, France, Sweden, Spain, Denmark, Suizerland and Nederland formed the federation international football association (FIFA) in Darius.
While in 1956 the confedration of african football (CAF) was formed.the colonial masters also brought soccer into Nigeria.

ABOUT FOOTBALL
Football ia a game played between two different teams of 11 players each, one of whom most be a Goal-kepper. The general object of the game is to propel the ball into the opponenr goal by using the feet, the head or the body but not hands or arms, only the goal-keeper(the player who is on the goal post to defend his opponent from scoring) is allowed to use his hands.
At the beginning of the game the captain(skipper) of the two team tossed in other to enaure who is going to pass the ball first. in addition, an opponent is allowed within 9•15 meters of the ball untill it is kicked off time. they are also changes made during any game that is 3 changes but because of the pandemic we are facing the World football governning body has increase the changes to 5.

We also have the corner kick, Goal kick, Free kick and Penalty. fouls leads to freekick and penalty. While throwing is when the ball goes out of the football pitch eirher from the Home or Away side.

Side back(Left back or Right back) (SB)
Center back (CB)
Defensive midfielder (DMF)
Central midfielder (CMF)
Attacking midfielder (AMF)
Side midfielder (SMF)
Wing forward (Left or Right wing forward) (WF)
Center Forward (CF)

They are various tournament in football but the one the world recognised most is the world cup which is usuall hosted by a national team selected by FIFA and it is been held after every four years.
