Augustine Azuka Okocha popularly known as Jay Jay Okocha born 14 August 1973, is a former professional footballer who hails from Enugu state which is in the eastern part of Nigeria.

Okocha started his football career at a very tender age were he played for Enugu Rangers in the year 1990.

SENIOR CAREER

After playing for Enugu Rangers for few months, Jay Jay Okocha went on a holiday trip to Germany where luckily a club called Borussia Neunkirchen offered him a contract and he played for the team for two years (1990-1992).

He then signed for a new team still in Germany (Bundesliga 1) called Eintracht Frankfurt in the year 1992-1996.
After the end of the season in Germany, he moved to Fernerbahce(1996-1998).

In the year 1998-2002 he played for Paris Saint Germain along side with Ronaldinho of Brazil.

2002-2006 he played for Bolton Wanderers.

2006-2007 he played for Qatar SC

Then in the year 2007-2008 he played for Hull City were he retired.

Jay Jay Okocha had 454 Appearances and 85 goals in his senior career games.

He also played for his National team from the year 1993-2006 and he had a total of 73 Appearances and 14 goals.

Okocha has won several medals and cups in his football career.
