Another mouthwatering EPL day I must say as we await a cracker between Liverpool and Tottenham.

Both teams sit at the top of the table with equal points, but Tottenham better off with a higher goal difference. With this, both teams definitely know that whichever team comes out victorious between them claims top spot. However, this match is far more than just getting/losing top spot alone, it has more embedded in it:

Permit me to start with Tottenham:
Mourinho has really turned this Tottenham team into a monster. It's really surprising to see Tottenham stay on top of the EPL table for more than 3 weeks consecutively. Well that's the Mourinho effect, and this is a proof that he is still one of the best managers in the world.
Tottenham are on an unbelievable 11 games unbeaten run in the EPL(7 wins and 4 draws), with their only defeat of the campaign coming at the beginning of the season against Everton. They have brushed aside the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Southampton. They also ensured Chelsea, who were in great shape before playing against them(Tottenham), settled for a draw at the Bridge. This is a remodified Spurs team that needs to be feared.
A loss today will definitely see this amazing run crumble, furthermore, creating a bit of doubt in the heart of the players.

Moving on to Liverpool:
Aside their horrible loss to Aston Villa, this side have been fantastic as usual. They have managed the same number of wins, draws, and defeats as Spurs, but, with a less better team shape. They have lost loads of key players to either injury or COVID-19 Isolation, yet, they keep coming up with the points. This is the character of a true champion. This, however, isn't even close to what they would lose if they lost today's match. They will lose their "Unbeaten Home Run".
Liverpool's stunning performance over the past 2 years have seen them maintain a whopping 65 unbeaten games at home(54 wins and 11 draws), a record even the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea haven't been able to find answers to. Due to this record, teams are always wary of coming to Anfield as they know their match against Liverpool isn't only physical, but also psychological. I can bet Liverpool aren't ready to lose this record.

For me, a draw in this game will be the best for both sides, but Liverpool might come out on top based on this 3 reasons:

1. Their Home Record: I believe I have dissected this part already.
2. Head To Head: If this game took place on matchday 3 or 4, I would have tipped Liverpool to win outrightly as their record against Spurs in their last 5 games says it all(5 wins), however, we now have a different Spurs.
3. Take Out Kane And Sun: These 2 have been the reason for Tottenham's amazing run of games. They've both scored 19(Kane 9 and Sun 10) out of Tottenham's 24 goals this season, and this is amazing in itself. However, we've seen how Tottenham could look out of place when these guys are not firing, the game against Chelsea shows it all. Neutralize this 2 and you have a high chance of being victorious against them, I strongly believe Liverpool have all it takes to do this.

Hmm, I hope we get an entertaining game, and not Mourinho packing the bus, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
