The questions are beginning to creep as regards if Chelsea are real title contenders or pretenders.

After an amazing run of 17 matches unbeaten, Chelsea have now suffered 2 consecutive defeats in a roll: The first to Everton, and now Wolves. Many would have expected our beloved tean to return to winning ways, but they only slumbered more giving up a 1 nil advantage to ensure Wolves took all 3 points. This was the same Wolves that failed to score a goal in their last 2 games (demolished by Liverpool, and swept aside by Aston Villa at their own backyard).

2 things were obvious in yesterday's defeat:

1. Havertz Is Still Yet To Aclamatize To The Rigours Of The EPL: Since he returned from his COVID-19 Isolation, the lad has been in poor form. He looked out of sort against Everton, and this repeated itself yesternight against Wolves. He isn't just getting it in the role he's playing at the moment with the tempo of the game always looking faster than him. His poor oerformance were so obvious that he had to be substituted early in both games. I think Lampard should give him more time to blend into the team, allowing him come in as a substitute, whilst the trio of Mount, Kovacic, and Kante should be deployed in our midfield. I know with time, we will definitely get the best out of him.

2. Ziyech's Importance: Chelsea have once again proved how bad they could be in the attack without Ziyech. The Moroccan is the only player in the Chelsea squad yet to suffer defeat this season and this is because of how well he performs, and the chances he creates whilst he is on the field of play(no disrespect to the other players). His eye for killer passes and goals were part of the reasons Chelsea could manage the 17 matches unbeaten run. With him still out, we might have to endure more of this dismal results.
   Odoi's injury and Pulisic not fully fit are also part of the issues The Blues are currently facing, and we need to settle this fast before things go out of hands.

Although it's too early to judge, but if things continue this way, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Leicester City, Aston Villa, and Southampton looking great, let alone talk about the duo of Liverpool and Tottenham who have been outstanding, we might just be in a more tougher quest to get a top 4 finish at the end of the season.

Las preguntas están comenzando a surgir en cuanto a si el Chelsea es un verdadero aspirante al título o un pretendiente.

Después de una increíble racha de 17 partidos invictos, el Chelsea ahora ha sufrido 2 derrotas consecutivas seguidas: la primera ante el Everton y ahora ante los Wolves. Muchos hubieran esperado que nuestro amado tean volviera a la senda ganadora, pero solo se quedaron dormidos más cediendo una ventaja de 1 a cero para asegurarse de que los Lobos se llevaran los 3 puntos. Estos fueron los mismos Wolves que no lograron anotar un gol en sus últimos 2 juegos (derribados por Liverpool y barridos por Aston Villa en su propio patio trasero).

2 cosas fueron obvias en la derrota de ayer:

1. Havertz aún está por aclamatizar ante los rigores del EPL: desde que regresó de su aislamiento COVID-19, el muchacho ha estado en mala forma. Parecía fuera de lugar contra el Everton, y esto se repitió anoche contra los Lobos. No solo lo está obteniendo en el papel que está jugando en este momento, con el ritmo del juego siempre mirando más rápido que él. Su pobre desempeño fue tan obvio que tuvo que ser sustituido al principio de ambos juegos. Creo que Lampard debería darle más tiempo para integrarse en el equipo, permitiéndole entrar como suplente, mientras que el trío de Mount, Kovacic y Kante debería desplegarse en nuestro mediocampo. Sé que con el tiempo definitivamente sacaremos lo mejor de él.

2. Importancia de Ziyech: Chelsea ha demostrado una vez más lo mal que podría ser en el ataque sin Ziyech. El marroquí es el único jugador de la plantilla del Chelsea que aún ha sufrido una derrota esta temporada y esto se debe a lo bien que se desempeña y a las oportunidades que crea mientras está en el terreno de juego (sin faltar al respeto a los demás jugadores). Su ojo para pases asesinos y goles fueron parte de las razones por las que el Chelsea pudo manejar la racha invicta de 17 partidos. Con él todavía fuera, podríamos tener que soportar más de estos tristes resultados.
   La lesión de Odoi y el hecho de que Pulisic no esté en forma también son parte de los problemas que enfrentan los Blues actualmente, y debemos resolver esto rápido antes de que las cosas se salgan de control.

Aunque es demasiado pronto para juzgar, pero si las cosas continúan de esta manera, con jugadores como Manchester City, Manchester United, Leicester City, Aston Villa y Southampton luciendo geniales, y mucho menos hablando del dúo de Liverpool y Tottenham que han sido sobresalientes, podríamos estar en una búsqueda más difícil para obtener un resultado entre los 4 primeros al final de la temporada.
