Manchester City 2-0 Aston Villa

Watching Manchester City vs Aston Villa, a first half which has been dominated by Manchester City but Aston Villa have defended well, both teams have had a couple of chances and it has been a good game so far. Good possession by MC but they just had two clear chances at goal and both ended up with a fizzle. I expect the second half to be much better, Manchester City have to win this game to become serious contenders for the title, we'll see if Aston Villa lets them.

Manchester City came out as a machine, it was all out attack, and Aston Villa did try to respond but the pressing by MC was just too much and something had to give, it did when Rodrigo took advantage of his position behind an Aston Villa defender and took the ball gave it to Bernardo Silva and goal. Was it offside by Rodrigo? I doubt it, the defender had the ball already in his dominion that means the ball is in play, I could be wrong but I think the goal is good and so did the referee. After this more chances for MC and a couple for Aston Villa until a hand ball gave MC a penalty and that was that 2-0 and City are at the moment at the head of the league. Let's see what happens later with Fulham and Manchester United, MU could go top again.

I think Manchester City are at the moment the best team in the EPL, they have won the last nine games they have played in all competitions and are playing a very good game. I hope Liverpool recovers from the slump it is in, that would make things more interesting.
