SHAKE UP YOUR STEEM POWER CONTEST

Hello everyone,

This is welcomed development and I must give credit to @edmund.nef for his great thinking in bring out this contest. Because the importance of powering up is really amazing.

I'm still fairly new to all this and at first I did not know how to power up SBD to steem power. Now I do and I power up on a regular basis as I get SBD. It just makes sense to me that steem power should be the focus as an investment for the future.

I think a lot of the issue is that most people joining the platform don't have that understanding of how the system works. It can be confusing and complicated to a lot of people and I know because I was there at one stage. Powering up is vital to grow your account and for anybody starting off, I would recommend that you look into powering up your steem.

IMPORTANCE OF POWERING UP
-Powering up increases the value of your vote.

-Powering up increases the stake you hold in witness voting

-Powering up shows others steam users that you have long term intent and confidence in steem.

-Powering up gives the steam ecosystem time to grow and flourish.

-Powering up is investing in your future without being afraid and with confidence.

-Powering up steem allows you to delegate to projects and earn passive income through SMTs or steem from a part of the Share in profits.

I have decided to be powering up every single steem.

Some users prefer to purchase liquid Steem through a cryptocurrency exchange like Bittrex or Poloniex and then “Power Up” once they arrive at Steemit.com. Users can also convert their hard earned Steem Dollars (SBD) into Steem through the internal marketplace to then transfer into the SP slot. This process of placing Steem into Steem Power is the ‘staking’ part of Steem’s Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) blockchain protocol. To power up, first you log in into your wallet. As seen in the above image.
Click on the steem. To see the list of options.

Click on power up option

Then you decide how many steem you want to power up, but I decided on powering all my steem to participate in the #club100. After clicking on the power up button. It will display where you will input your active private key to complete the power up

Then click sign in to complete the powering up.

After my power up for today, am so happy to be clocking close to a century of steem power
