Cape Verde plots a Senegal derby shock, while Morocco takes on Malawi in the AFCON matchday preview.

Senegal is the only team in the Africa Cup of Nations without conceding a goal, and they are predicted to eliminate Cape Verde. Cape Verde is planning an upset against Senegal in an Africa Cup of Nations round-of-16 match, and Morocco is a heavy favorite to overcome Malawi on Tuesday.

Despite only scoring one goal in three games, Senegal topped Group B, while Cape Verde qualified after coming third in Group A. Morocco, who finished first in Group C, is set to proceed to the quarterfinals at the expense of Malawi, who finished third in Group B and will be playing their first AFCON knockout encounter.

Some key players to keep an eye on in both matches

In the game of Senegal v Cape Verde Idrissa Gueye is someone to keep an eye on (Senegal)

Gueye, a midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain, is an important player for Senegal, putting in a lot of effort in the middle of the pitch. Gueye has been a significant part of his team's success, and the hardworking former Everton man can command the midfield fight.

In the game of Morocco v Malawi Sofianu Boufal is someone to keep an eye on (Morocco)

With two goals and ten chances created, Boufal is Morocco's leading scorer in the competition. Only Youcef Belali of Algeria generated more chances in the group stage, with 12, and Morocco will be looking for the winger to step up once more.
