Today marks Day 2 of the 2021 European championship which started on Friday as Italy put 3 unanswered goals past Turkey in the opening game of the tournament. The tournament continues today and we want to take a preview of today’s matches and predict their possible outcomes. Three matches will be played today starting from the second game of group A, when Wales take on Switzerland. The other two matches are in group B. Denmark vrs Finland and a cracker between Belgium and Russia concludes the day.

Group A: Wales vrs Switzerland

These two teams meet for the first since 2011. It is the fifth they’ll be playing each other as the previous four meetings ended in two wins for each side. It makes this fixture a very tough one as there is very little to separate between the two sides.

Wales is also expected to field a very strong side.

The Swiss are in a very great form as they’ve won their last 6 matches in a row. The Wales team on the other hand are struggling at the moment but cannot be underestimated because they have qualify players like Gareth bale who can change the game at anytime. However I feel the Swiss are too strong for them and will carry the day.

Score prediction: Wales 0:2 Switzerland

Group B: Denmark vrs Finland

Finland surprised many when they were able to qualify for this tournament as they’ve struggled in recent years. They however made it due to the prolific nature of their star forward Timu Pukki. The Norwich man ended last season’s English championship as the top striker to help his team qualify for the upcoming premier league season. He makes Finland look very dangerous.

Denmark one the other hand have a very complete team with Christian Eriksen as their main man in midfield. They have been in some great form as they’ve won four of their last five matches. The only one they failed to win was the 1:1 stalemate with Germany. The Danes have also won four of their five games against Finland with one ending in a draw. This looks like a very easy game for Denmark and I expect them to win comfortably.

Score prediction: Denmark 4:1 Finland

Group B: Belgium vrs Russia

The last game of the day is a mouthwatering encounter between one of the tournament favorites Belgium and Russia who were themselves very impressive in the 2018 World Cup. The Russians continued with their form after the world by getting some decent results in the Euro qualifiers as well as the just ended European nations league.

They however come against a star-studded Belgium team with a lot of top players and in great shape as well. These two teams have met on six different occasions with Belgium coming on top four times and two ending in a draw.

The Russians are looking to win their first ever game against Belgium but it looks very likely. Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is not fit for this game but they have a lot of quality to cover for that. Eden Hazard will look to be back to his best in this tournament after he had an injury-ruined season with Real Madrid last season. I see Belgium edging out this game narrowly.

Score prediction: Belgium 4:2 Russia
