Reigning Champions, Bayern Munich crash out of Champions League...
The Uefa Champions League action keeps getting interesting and that is one thing I so much love about the competition, It's been over 15 years since I started watching this competition even though I didn't understand the competition during my early days watching the competition.
Yesterday's action was really exciting and we almost got what we aren't expecting in the competition even though many football fans wanted Bayern Munich to qualify for the next round of the competition but luck wasn't on their side this time. Both matches that went down yesterday in the Uefa Champions League had lots of things in common because the two away teams that played yesterday won the second leg away from home but they conceded too much in their home which made it difficult for them to turn things around despite winning.
I tagged the Bayern Munich vs Paris Saint-German match a revenge match for PSG due to what happened last season in the competition when Bayern defeated PSG in the finals of the Champions League. The wounds certainly remain fresh for Paris Saint-German even if the winners of the competition still have the Cup joy in their hearts.
The reigning champions of the competition, Bayern Munich crashed out of the competition last night despite defeating PSG by a lone goal at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris.
The match ended 3-3 on aggregate but the away goal rule gave PSG an edge over Bayern Munich.
The first leg ended with a disappointing result for Bayern Munich and almost everyone knew that the Bundesliga Champions progressing to the semi-final will be a miracle.
The absence of Lewandowski due to injury made it worse for them. A Lewandowski in the second leg would have made a difference just like Kylian Mbappe did in the first leg in German, the teams must have missed the Polish striker a lot because they are not doing well in the league since his Injury.
As it stands, PSG are the title favorite and I think the only big challenger left in the competition is Real Madrid.
