The Big Final : PREVIEW

GERMANY 🇩🇪

Germany, who will be playing their third straight U-21 Final, will be hoping to claim the honours after winning in 2017 but missing out in 2019 final. On both the previous occasions, Stefan Kuntz was at the helm of this age-group team. A former German international himself, Kuntz will hope to have a fit squad ahead of the Final especially after Josha Vagnoman, right back, was sidelined for the Semi Final against Netherlands due to injury. Germany would consider themselves lucky to have come past Denmark in the Quarter Finals after the game was decided on penalty shootout. Overall goals have been hard to come by for the Die Mannschaft.

PORTUGAL 🇵🇹

Portugal, on the other hand, has been more clinical of the two finalists, to be honest. They have raked up goals against their opponents and have improved gradually since the group stage. However their real big test was the Semi Final against Spain, where an 80th minute own goal by Villarreal youngster Jorge Cuenca helped Portugal reach the final. Once again they will be relying on Dany Mota, Francisco Conceição, Francisco Trincão who have been among the goals in this championship. Manager Rui Jorge will like to leave no stone unturned in the most important match for these U-21 colts. With the experiences of Diogo Dalot, Rafel Leao, Gedson Fernandez, Germany have their tasks cut out come Sunday.
