Liverpool 2 - 7 Aston Villa

Defending champions Liverpool have conceded six goals to the hosts at Villa Park.Liverpool have the biggest lose in the history of their Premier League. Villa took Liverpool back 57 years ago. Allreds conceded 7 goals in one match of then. They lost by the same margin in that match against Tottenham in 1963. The Oli Watkins-Jack Grilesh celebrated at Villa Park, reminding Liverpool of that history.

It was impossible to imagine such an end before the start of the match. Villa scored 4 goals in the first half and 3 goals in the second half and Mohamed Salah scored one goal each in the two halves. In the first match of the season, Liverpool came to the forefront of the defense, with Marcelo Bielsa Leeds United pointing out the mistakes of Virgil Van Dyke and Joe Gomez. And Dean Smith's Aston Villa have undermined Liverpool's defense. No defending champions have lost so badly in the last six years in the Premier League, with defending champions Arsenal losing 7-1 to Sunderland in 1953.

Villa's destruction began in the fourth minute of the match. Watkins, the new face of Villa Park, got the first ball in the net with the help of Adrian's bad pass. Then in the 22nd and 39th minutes, he got his first Premier League hat-trick by sending the ball to the net of the champions twice more. Watkins scored the first two goals with his left and right legs, and a hat-trick became his 'perfect' hat-trick. Apart from Watkins, Villa captain Grilish was also in great form. With 2 goals and 3 assists, the English midfielder has led from the front in the tomb of the champions at Villa Park.In addition to Watkins-Grealish, John McGinn and Ross Berkeley, who recently moved to Villa Park on loan from Chelsea, have been named in the scoresheet. Berkeley, who scored in his debut for Villa, seemed to be taking revenge indirectly for his main club Chelsea. He played as a substitute in Chelsea's 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in September.

Aston Villa have out played Liverpool in every section of the match. You can't compare this Liverpool with the last season's liverpool. Throughout the match, there was no sign of the champions reacting to the hub and returning to the match.Aston villa did a very good homework. They knew the weakness of Liverpool's defending the counter attack.Dean Smith's side managed to get in behind Liverpool's high defensive line with ease in the first half. And the error from Adrian sucks!!! Liverpool missed the service of Alisson very much. If he played, scoreline didnt be 7-2 I think. Aston Villa have beaten Liverpool's defense in one attack after another. Liverpool missed Thiago and especially Sadion Mane Badly. Dominated in almost every sector except scoring Liverpool had a bad day in every sector. Except Salah and Robertson, nobody didnt have enough impact.Several of Villa's goals took advantage of Liverpool's high defensive line. They just could not deal with the guile of Grealish and Barkley and the finishing of Watkins. And after winning the champions, Aston Villa, which somehow survived the relegation last season, has risen to the second place in the points list.

Seemed like a black day for the reds yesterday. It was a very tragic day for Liverpool, Aston villa trashed the champions a whopping 7:2 defeat. I never imagined such a scenario for the reds, I hope they will bounce off after such a humiliating results. Same can be said about man United after a trashing of 6:1 to Tottenham.

Great post match analysis.

@whitestallion I'm not worried about the team performance. If they fall, they can come back stronger. They proved it in past.
