Two big surprises today! Turkey beat Netherlands 4-2 in Istanbul. I knew this was going to be a tough game and Yilmaz scored a hat trick. How amazing!
The other surprise came from the World Cup Champions France who drew 1-1 against Ukraine. It was amazing to watch the Ukrainian players managed by Andriy "Sheva" Shevchenko stop the french squad.
Here's the list of tomorrow's matches and a short preview of the most important games:
-Spain v Greece
Spain is one of the most powerful teams in the qualifying World Cup stage. They haven't lost a qualifying game since 1993! Luis Enrique is commanding a young generation of spanish players led by Alba, Rodri, Koke and Morata to name a few. Watch out for Ferran Torres who's been doing extremely well in Manchester City.
-Italy v Northern Ireland
The Azzurri failed to qualify to the last World Cup so they'll be sure to start with the right foot this time. Roberto Mancini has a lot of quality in his squad like Donnarumma, Bonucci, Immobile and Insigne. Northern Ireland are a bit boring to watch and they haven't been doing really good lately (2D 3L in their last 5 games) so I'm expecting Italy to win easily.
-England v San Marino
The Three Lions are back with Gareth Southgate at the wheel. This is perhaps the easiest match in this matchday. Some new faces for England like Leeds's star Phillips and Dortmund's youngster Bellingham. Well, San Marino will at least try to score a goal like the did in 1993!
-Germany v Iceland
Die Mannschaft is back with a strong squad with players like Can, Gundogan, Gnabry, Sané and Werner. They will try to win against a decimated Iceland squad that didn't do very well in the Nations League. They got relegated to the League B after losing their 6 games. Should be an easy win for the germans and would be surprised to see Iceland score one goal.
