Introduction

Good day everyone, the football community on this platform is one of my favourite communities. I love football very much. I would like to acknowledge @njaywan for bringing us such a wonderful contest once again. In the football world, everything is about competition. From my perspective, I think there's a lot of joy in football. Whether watching, playing, or even video games of football hits different.

The contest today is about something spectacular. why should the next world cup be hosted in my country. Am a Ghanaian. Hence, my country is Ghana. For the past years, most of us don't know the criteria for choosing a host for the world cup competition. I guess we all know about the world cup competition. For the sake of those who don't know about the world cup competition, it is a football competition held every four years and features every country in all part of the continents. It starts from the qualifications stage(which features all countries)to the main event between only 32 qualified teams from all continents.

The world cup competition is literally the most competitive football competition in the world. There's more to talk about in world cup. The joy, the pain, the passion, the drama, the history and many more. However, today's topic wouldn't permit me to enumerate more about it.

Thats brings us to the main contest

Why the world cup should be hosted in Ghana.

• From my knowledge, In the past years, only one African country has ever hosted the world cup competition. That's South Africa 🇿🇦 in 2010. Which means, the African countries are not given that privilege of hosting. Which I think its not the best. When the African countries are given chance to host the world cup, it would encourage the interest of young talent to work and train harder in thier football career. Many of the young talents just need such exposures just for encouragement. Getting the privilege to watch football legends competing with each other would boost thier confidence and work harder.

• Moreover, when any country host the world cup competition, they have the support advantage which plays a vital role in winning the world cup trophy 🏆. From the past years, many of the host countries used the supporters advantage as well as thier effort to win the trophy. Which is of no doubt that Ghana could stand a chance of winning when they host the competition. Talking of the world cup which was hosted by an African country South Africa in 2010, Ghana performed very well to reach the Quarter finals and was denied the semi finals by a controversy which wouldn't have been a problem currently with the VAR.

• In addition, Ghana is a developing country. Though almost all the world cup competition were hosted in developed countries, giving opportunities for developing countries like Ghana would help develop the country. Comparing Ghana to some of the developed countries, the number of stadiums and recreational places in Ghana are few. Hence, if a world cup is scheduled to be hosted in Ghana, more stadiums and more recreational places would be built. Which would help develop the country rapidly.

• For tourism and revenue. Ghana has a lot of tourists sites which would attract many people from other parts of the world 🌎. More money 💰 would be generated as well to improve thw economy.

Conclusion

To conclude, I think the African countries should be given more slots to host the world cup competition. Only the European countries and some few American countries are given the opportunity to host and I think it not fair on the smaller countries.
