The world cup as we know it is a very glamorous event, and with the number of Football lovers that always watch it, the number of television stations that always broadcast it, and the high number of spectators that always go to the stadium to watch it, then it is no news that it always yield great returns to the owners of the competition which is FIFA. Below are some of the main things that makes nigeria a very suitable country for the tournament to be hosted.

Sport Facilities:
I would have loved to highlight see other factors first before coming to the sport Facilities available in the country, but when you are talking about Football, the first thing that is always considered is the facilities and equipments available. This is where Nigeria is very outstanding because they have numerous stadia in the country, and not only are there numerous, but they are also in World-class standard. An example is the "Next Of Champions" stadium in Uyo, Nigeria which has a massive seating capacity of 30,000.
Nigeria Is made up of 36 different states and each state have at least a stadium and that should show you how the level that the country is when it comes to Football.

THE POPULATION
Whenever any body hears the name Nigeria, I am very sure the first thing that will come to that person's mind is the fact that Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa and among the 10 most populated countries in the world.
Now imagine if you stage the FIFA world Cup tournament in such a country with over 200 million people, especially in a state like Lagos which contribute more than 30% of this population. The Football governing body, FIFA itself will gain massively from ticket sales as the spectators will always be coming out in numbers to watch each world cup match.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
The weather in Nigeria is very favourable for both people coming from cold regions and the ones coming from the hot regions. The world cup is usually played during the Summer and in this time, the temperature in Nigeria have been studied to always be around the region of 30°C and 35°C which is a very moderate weather conditions, meaning that they will not have to be taking too many water breaks and Players will not be dehydrating.

Nigeria have enough experience in hosting global Football competitions as it has hosted the FIFA U-17 world cup before in 2009. The government have also been very supportive of Football activities in the country meaning that if FIFA should stage the world cup in this country again, then they can relax and be rest assured of a hitch-free tournament.
