The diary game: don't compromise in your domestic life.
The phrase ‘never settle when it comes to your domestic life’ indicates that there is a need to have guidelines on the minimum acceptable requirements for all family members. Domestic bickering, according to sociological studies, may have some extreme consequences and lead to averting future crises of similar importance. It is equally critical to make one’s voice heard, and preferences and wishes on any matter expressed without the fear of the silence of the walls.
Too much giving way on one’s values, space, or even time impacts the relationship balance that is maintained, creating a one sided approach towards the inclusion of both parties. Whether its sharing chores, making time for self development, or putting in place provisions for decent living conditions, it is imperative to be vocal on what is important to you. This does not suggest rigidity, but rather the ability to appreciate the fact that there are points where compromise may lower the quality of life at home.
When there are no imbalanced restraints regarding domestic demands and all parties’ needs and wants are fulfilled, there can be building blocks for healthier relationships and additional happiness outside the home.
