Engagement Challenge - S6W2: What do I do when I'm Bored?
Greetings dear friends, I'm so happy to here sharing this piece with you all through the steemit engagement challenge contest season 6week 2. Today's topic is what I do when I'm bored.🤔 this topic got me thinking because as humans once in a while we get bored and when we do that we usually find it difficult to do so many things. Sometimes we go the extra mile just to see that get ourselves out of boredom.
What causes the feeling of boredom to come, can you identify the cause?
The feelings of boredom come when we are idle and sometimes when we are doing things that don't interest us. Mostly when we involve ourselves in unsatisfied activities it makes us bored because we are not enjoying that activity. So doing what you don't enjoy doing will cause boredom.
Some boredom can also be caused by mental health disorders such as depression. When you are depressed you will be bored.
Another thing that causes boredom is when someone feels energetic and at the same time has nowhere to direct his or her energy. This usually occurs when one has this difficulty focusing on a particular task.
How do you overcome boredom, what activities do you do?
Wow, this is a very interesting question, to overcome boredom I usually do two things which are cooking new dishes and listings to music and dancing.
Ooh yes, whenever I'm bored the thing that keeps me going is when I connect my phone to my mp speaker to listen to some cool and soft music. Mostly I usually dance when I'm bored and that has helped me a lot to overcome boredom.
Another thing I those is to keep myself busy in the kitchen trying to sort out new meals from another country, whenever I'm bored I go online to search for many recipes and anyone that capture my heart I will try to prepare a meal and before I know it time will go and I will be fry from any form of boredom.
Share with us tips to prevent or overcome feelings of boredom.
To prevent boredom first you have to know yourself in the sense that you have to know the things that make you happy and the things that don't make you happy. Once you know all this then believe me you will prevent yourself from being bored at all times. Because when you indulge in the things that don't make you happy you are just making things worst for yourself and you will be bored.
But when you try to do those things that make you happy when you are less busy believe me you won't get bored and you will enjoy yourself to the fullest. Everyone has his or her hobbies so whenever you are bored just look out for those hobbies and make them part of you. Some like watching movies, dancing, listening to music, cooking, hanging out with friends, sleeping, traveling, and so on. So in a note shell just know yourself and you won't get bored because the only person that can make you happy is you and yourself.
And other information that is considered important.
Another piece of information that is very considered is making yourself happy at all times, boredom is not good for our health it can cause much harm to our body system such as high blood pressure when you are bored at some point you will be thinking of numerous things that are not important and we all know that over thinking can not solve any problems.
Most of the people who are now suffering from deficit hyperactive disorder are victims of boredom. So let's try our best to avoid being bored at all times.
In conclusion, boredom is not a good thing at all so let us try and avoid it. As I mention early no one can make you happy if you as a person don't make yourself happy. I invite @jasminemary @mjerry and @josepha to come and take part in this very contest.
